great for what I needed it for (width and transparency). Found it hard to work with because it is so thin; thankfully I had someone to help me.

I use these to fix some of my older books and they are great for it. The clearness of the tape allows you to keep the color of your book to stand out or if you use them to reconnect a page then you can still read the book. Just a great tool to use to repair that old book.

WAY better than scotch tape for repairs, taping stuff to sheets to save etc....so many uses and it sticks well and it is sturdy and see though...a few bucks more, but what a difference when you need something to be outstanding in looks

I'm going back to my old brand after I use this up. It's a little thin, so it likes to twist and stick to itself. The tape also picks up my fingerprints as I'm sticking down acetate book covers, which annoys my OCD soul. It does serve it's purpose, but it's annoying and at least once an hour I have to through out a wodge of twisted tape.

Had to buy this to fix up barcodes on a book I had to purchase and set up like the libraries original book. It had the same feel and shine as the tape the library uses. I gently pulled off the barcodes etc from the broken book, cut off the old tape, aligned it to the position they had them and used this tape. Made it look exactly like the broken book. Turned it in and they never knew any different. Also worked on a page torn in another book.

I wanted to repair some secondhand books that were given to me and allow for my child to enjoy them too. I had previously tried glue and packing tape, but they didn't hold up. This tape goes on super clear, and it is STRONG. My toddler likes to throw books all over the floor and inevitably steps on them. This typically is what damages the books, but the tape has kept the previously ripped pages together! I would say it is stronger than the original seam.

I already had a roll of quality clear packing tape in my drawer-- I'd bought this because it was supposed to be especially for BOOKS, but I am very disappointed in the quality. It is very thin and is difficult to get it to lay flat when wrapping around the book spine. It also easily splits on the roll, so I wasted a lot trying to get it to lift off evenly. I don't know if it's supposed to be so thin, but I found it very difficult to work with.

My use was specialized (repairing player piano rolls), and for that it is the best. 1/4" width avoids the sustaining holes in the roll, extra-thin weight doesn't bulk up the edges as much as magic-mending tape does. Grips well. Probably stretches and contracts with the roll better than thicker tapes would. Reflective surface makes placement easier. One roll of tape does about two-and-a-third music rolls (tape placed along both edges of roll. It must be removed from the roll carefully or it can tear, leaving you to find the stuck-on end on the roll. They claim it will not yellow, which I cannot vouch for yet. I'll be buying a lot more of it.

The tape is thick, strong, clear and not yellow. Works well for mending books.
