I wanted easy shorts for my 10 (almost 11 year old) for the summer season and for her summer camps. My daughter is average to tall in height, but she is very slim. She typically runs size 8 in the waist, but size 8 shorts are usually too short on her. I read a lot of reviews, and decided on the size 8-10, which was perfect for her slim waist line. But these shorts are long enough, that on her they 100% still work. If she was a shorter 8 year old, they likely would have been too long for her preference. But she really likes the colors, and they seem very comfortable. Perfect for this upcoming summer.

Bought these in size 14/16 for my 12 year old daughter. She is tall and thin. The shorts are nicely made, nice thickness, and good length (not too short), but the waist on all 3 pair were tight on her. I washed them in cold water and let them air dry on a skirt hanger with the waist stretched as far as possible. She says that worked and that they are now comfortable. I won’t put them in the dryer and will probably repeat the stretching at least once more. Hope it doesn’t ruin the elastic prematurely.

My 11 year old daughter loves these shorts and the colors. They look good on her even though they are a little too big. My daughter typically wears size Medium 8-10 and I ordered medium, but she definitely could’ve worn a small. Good thing is the medium will last longer.

The shorts hold up in the wash and are very cute. Annoyed they sent me the wrong colors. As a working parent I don’t have much time to chase around doing returns.
