Our three grandchildren, ages 6 and 8, love these skates. They are easy to get on and off, so the adults don't need to help them get them on and off. We purchased the knee and elbow pads, too. They already had helmets.

The only problem is that the padding that goes around the ankle and is connected to the bottom flap that goes underneath the foot, anytime it slips up you have to replace it otherwise my five-year-old absolutely loves it.
