My daughter - 4'11" and weighs 93lbs. She got the 12-14 size and it fits perfectly on her, maybe slightly large but form fitted. The waist actually falls right at the hip. She is 12 this year and as you can see from her height and weight she is not a tall 12 yr old. If you are taller or larger, you might want to size up.She really likes the fleece jacket for her skating.

Better than expected or pictured on the Amazon product photos. The dracon material's on the thick side yet stretchy & lightweight. It's an interesting mix and fitting for being on an ice rink. From the zipper to the looped blue & purple back design, this jacket's just made well. The structure of this size Medium fits my petite daughter with a rectangular figure with a small bust & longish torso who wears a size adult Small/4-6 on top and size adult Medium/6-8 on pants. Not tight-fitting and just looks good on her. She finds its cozy sweatshirt-like interior warm & comfortable. The looped design in the back with square sparkles looks attractive & gives this jacket some color in an elegant manner. Looks beautiful in the ice rink.Well-recommended.
