I bought these to add in between two 1/4" steel plates to hold up a 16' 8x8 beam for a deck while proper spacers above the footers are being made up. These screw jacks and so easy to use and considering how strong they are I might just keep them in place. The threaded part lets one adjust to changed in elevation using a simple claw type wrench.The quality of the jack is top notch. The threads are super smooth and clean. If you need to level a machine or just about anything, get these. Highly recommened.

These jack screws are nice. They are definitely heavy duty. The are a locking nut also to set the height and lock them in place. The bottoms have this diamond plate cast type surface. I found that very odd. They are a bit to high for my Bridgeport vice that is 2-1/4" off the table, but I have still found them very useful.

The picture of the bottom is incorrect, mine came with a protruding diamond pattern on them. I would never put a surface like that on my milling table! The top is not flat. These are not a matched set. With a little machining removing the diamond pattern and facing the tops I made a working matching set.
