Unlike some other cheap retaining rings, these are actually spring-tempered so the steel material is hardened and the rings hold their shape and strength when pushed into the shaft groove. If done correctly, they are very easy to install…unlike external snap rings that must be spread apart with a special tool and put on over the end of the shaft, these E-clips don’t need a special tool for installation; they install relatively easily just by pushing them into the groove from the side of the shaft.

they seemed to be a little weak . but I was able to use them. They were not of high quality steel.

Clips were jumbled in the container. Not a huge deal but very frustrating when trying to identify clips. Clips spread open and will not snap back around the pin.tried 3 clips and each failed to spring back after installing into the groove. Cheap, mild steel.

The E clips did not fit correctly even thought it was the right size. I had to use vise grips to crush bend the clip tighter and to make it fit correctly. The clips has been holding the part very well after it was installed.

What a mess! Organizer did not keep them separated and no diagram as pictured to show sizes in each section and not even enough dividers to set up as pictured. I’m just gonna sort and bag them instead

Bought these to fix a loose lock on a letterbox. Worked perfectly and seem to be very strong. They need some strength to get them on and I don't see them going anywhere....Way cheaper than getting a handy person out to replace the lock!

i may never use them,,,except when i loose the clip and have to search around for someone that sells them...now i am covered...
