I have been using plastic leftovers containers for years, this is my first real butter dish! 😂 It is the perfect size for me and fits three "Western" size sticks of butter laid across. It's sturdy and well made of quality materials. I like that it's glass because I can see how much butter I have on hand. The seal is secure but not too tight & can be taken off for washing. I was wondering before I bought it if the measuring marks were holes but they are inlaid and almost flat with the surface. Also I didn't know that there were different sized butter sticks on the east and west coast and had to look that up, LOL.

Why did it take me so long to purchase a butter dish? We love it! It’s sturdy and keeps our butter safe from the cats, yes cats like to lick vegan butter!! Who knew!?Very nice quality and look, excellent sealing.

This dish is great for having a butter dish that can be kept on the counter so it will be spreadable for easy use at all times. The sealed lid keeps it fresh. The clear dish allows me to know how much butter is left without having to open the dish.

I love my butter dish but do wish it had a handle or knob of some sort.

It is a well made good looking product. The gasket on the bamboo cover forms a really good seal which, unfortunaely, is a problem for me. It is a two handed operation to remove the cover and that doesn't work for me because I usually have a utensil in one of my hands. Hence, the 3 star rating.
