Using Tips:
- Dip the pen slightly in an ink bottle. (Note: Nib should be only partially submerged to avoid ink blots.)
- Glide nib against the ink bottle opening to drain excess ink. When ink no longer drips down from the nib it is ready to write with.
- Use your glass pen to write notes, letters, wedding invitations, etc. Re-dip in ink if necessary.
- Please don't put it in side of the table or other things to avoid breaking.

I decided to purchase this calligraphy set because I hadn't seen many affordable ones that included multiple colors of ink, cup to wash the pen in, and stone to prop the pen up. If you are a beginner trying to get into ink calligraphy, I definitely recommend this set but I'll still list the pros and cons.Pros:• Nicely and safely packaged so there's a lesser chance of damage during delivery or leaking from the bottles.• Affordable• Variety of ColorsCons:• Ink bleeds on paper (you can see that on the closeup image I provided, but that may just be a skill issue and can be easily solvable by just using less ink lol)• It stains and the stains STAY (I attached a picture of my finger and omg I washed my hands like 4 times and it still hasn't come off. I accidentaly dropped a bottle and my heart dropped with it because I thought it would break and stain the floor, but it didn't break. 😌)• Red could be more pigmented but that's a minor issue. 🤷â€â™€ï¸â€¢ There's these little rubber tops on the ink bottles that stay on there, which is good for preventing leakage, but they work a little too well so you have to take them off yourself and get a little stained in the process. (Removing them gently with a paper towel solves this problem, though.)

Since getting into glass dip pens, I've spent hours just writing random words because it's SO satisfying and smooth. I love hand-lettering and stationery supplies so ordered my first one on a whim... glad I did because it's my new favorite writing instrument. I dropped that first pen and chipped the tip, so am VERY happy to have a new glass dip pen to play with. Really mesmerizing and I love that the glass material feels so fancy. Gorgeous design, easy to clean, consistent results, and HOURS of analog creativity :)

GREAT little set for the money. Everything is nicely sealed and boxed. This is my first glass pen, and I'm pretty fond of it! The lines it makes are VERY clean and crisp, and very consistent. Writing with it feels pretty natural after a few minutes of practice. Use a light touch and don't fight the grain of the paper too hard. The more light and free-flowing you are, the more the lines will resemble your intended shape. Pretend it's a 0.5mm mechanical pencil or something.The ink is high-quality and ultra pigmented. Even when I was using up the very last of the ink on the pen, I was able to build up nice dark lines. I just had to go over them again sometimes, that's all. The ink is darker, and goes on cleaner, than that of any ballpoint I own. But I will say I can write much faster and more casually with a ballpoint. Perhaps with practice I will be able to write at fullspeed with no concern about breaking this pen, but for now, slow and steady does it. If you go out of your way to use ALL the ink on the pen, it will be almost perfectly clean and you can just wipe it with no need to use water. Only a VERY tiny amount will remain to come off.Overall, I like this art medium very much and I'm glad I tried this kit. I look forward to developing more techniques with it, perhaps laying it nearly flat like one would a brush pen to get wide lines. On good paper, some of the things you draw will look almost printed!TIP: The rubber plugs in the ink bottles may look like you can stab through them, but you cannot. They're solid! Cover them with a paper towel, grasp the plug with the towel, gently twist out the plug in one direction, then retain it in the towel until you want to put it back in the bottle. When you put it back, push it all the way down. This helps preserve the ink for years.

This is not a very high-quality set. The ink is okay. However, there are far better brands on the market. This is more of a beginner's set.The ink and pen are easy to use. However, the design is unremarkable, and I don’t like it.

My son has wanted a set like this for a while. We got it for him for Christmas. He started playing with it and thoroughly enjoyed it. It took a little getting used to to not splatter too much ink. But after some practice, he was able to draw fine lines and shadows with the pen.
