These track lights were perfect for my kitchen lighting project. We have a counter area that has a bar and there are no cabinets there, so it could not make use of under cabinet lighting, and was always a little dim. I mounted these on the wall above the bar, pointing down at the counter. Really like that you can install these on the ceiling or a wall. Now that they are installed, the effect works beautifully! Some things to note:* On the mounting bracket, there are 2 screws that are held in with nuts. Be sure to tighten the nuts thoroughly before mounting it to the wall (or ceiling), otherwise you won't be able to get the track lights to fit tightly up against the mounting bracket since the screws will be loose.* The suction cup for the bulbs is a joke. It's supposed to make it easy to install/uninstall the bulbs, but the suction cup does not grip it. Even wetting it first does not work. I ended up doing this with my fingers which was a little tricky but I eventually got it. I bought the optional LED bulbs along with it (you'll see it when you add the track lights to your cart), those are supposed to last 20 years so hopefully I'll not have to deal with it again.* For the cord, I recommend the Delamu Cable Concealer also sold here on Amazon. This lets you neatly hide the cord and traverse it properly down the wall, without ugly wires hanging out. This really worked out well.* I ended up removing the inline on/off switch in favor of a dimmer. The on/off switch works fine just wanted a dimmer. I got the Zeifun inline dimmer switch also sold here on Amazon, and I'm really happy with the result.* Between the track lights, bulbs, cord concealer, and dimmer switch, the whole project was under $75, and was a great little home improvement project. I took my time over the weekend, working an hour or two here and there, and it turned out great!Highly recommended track lights and related components described above!!

I needed this for a hallway that had no light, very dark. I also wasn't going to invest in an electrician to install a light. Ive had a plug in track before but its no longer available. This was a great price, easy to install and nice and bright! I turned the hall into a gallery space. A little bummed it doesnt have a dimmer, but for all other intents and purposes it really brightens up a dark space. Pictures of my hall without & with the light on to show the difference.

I used packing tape to install the light bulbs. Just wrapped some around the fingers for size, remove from fingers (cut from roll of course), fold in half. Press one half into top of light bulb, it has a god enough grip to put in place and turn. No aggravation and easy as pie. :)

I had gotten a different style that came with bulbs. So I thought this was similar, but the bulbs aren't included. But they are interchangeable. Which is way better. And, they're sturdy. So, after getting halogen bulbs, this is now a nicer and brighter product than the one in the window next to it that had the LEDs included. The cord is long enough to reach the floor from the ceiling in my room too, which is also important.

I've lived where I do now for over ten years. There's been a space in my living room I wanted something like this pretty much since I moved here. I finally pulled the trigger and realistically couldn't be happier. I'll start by debunking some of the other reviews. The brightness: I have a regular 100, 200, 300 watt halogen floor lamp in the corner. This thing throws off more light with 50W equivolent LED daytime bulbs than that does. That's actually a bit brighter than what I was looking for. I want one step above a night light almost. The section of the room below this has a lot of collectibles on it that I basically want to be able to see in an otherwise dark room. I ordered some 3W 25 watt equivolent bulbs and we'll see how those do. I'll think they'll be just about perfect. I saw somebody talk about using 20 watt equivolent to accent his artwork. I have high hopes for getting what I'm looking for out of those. The light bulbs are hard to change: Not really. This comes with a suction cup type of thing that's used to stick onto the front of the light bulb and twist it in or out of place. I was able to use my thumbs and push one side up and the other side down and twist them in pretty damn easily like that. The idea that the light bulbs are hard to change is very overrated. I'm not picking on any specific commenter here. But that's one of the things you have to be aware of when looking at reviews on Amazon. A lot of people just don't know what they're doing and blame the user error on the product. That's 100% what's going on with anybody having issues changing the light bulbs. The suction effect: Huh? Is this supposed to be about the suction cup that's used to change the light bulbs? It works fine for what it is. It's supposed to grip it enough to enable you to twist it in and out. You aren't supposed to be able to hang a boat anchor from it. I also saw somebody say something about double sided tape to hang it up with. I didn't see any double sided tape in my package. That must be a method of hanging it they came up with. Any issues related to that are on the choice of tape used. I was able to use two flat head push pins or thumbtacks to mount it long enough to see if I liked it where it was. It's light enough that it could probably be hung like that permanently as long as you aren't hitting the thing a lot. They would have to be flat head, though.Other stuff: If you want to mount this on the wall, you won't be able to mount it right up against the ceiling and still have the ability to move the specific light around. There won't be enough room. You'll have to mount it an inch or two lower to enable movement of the heads.A 15 foot cord soulds pretty long. The lights are hung directly above an electrical outlet that's on a light switch for me. I was almost worried the 15 feet would be too muc. It's really not. If you're going to be hanging these too far away from an electrical outlet, you'll probably need an extension cord of some kind. Just a quick heads up there.I'm sure there are better quality versions out there. Here's the thing. How many people are going to be close enough to tell the qualit once it's hung up??? It's still a 4 out of 5 for overall quality. A 5 out of 5 would cost at least twice as much to possibly three times as much or a little more. For the vast majority of people, the price difference would NOT be worth the slight upgrade in quality. Nobody will notice.Good product. If you're reading this far down, give it a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Not sure how this product works can't comment on it's quality. This is fitted with a US (North American) plug. If you are buying this in AMAZON UK it will not work as a plug in item.

Love this light, no need for an electrician, just plug it in. For the person who asked it’s a two pronged plug

These lights are tiny and way over priced for what they are. Was expecting something more substantial that looked like they were worth the price. Also, the pictures of almost all of the Amazon lights are blown up so the fixture looks way more prominent than it actually is. If you look at sconce lighting and compare it to the house in the background they look double the actual size. The centimetre measurement is often nowhere near accurate.
