I use these to ship baby tarantulas, so I can't speak for their use in a centrifuge. However, the hinged lids lock well and open easily.

Using these for Girl Scout swaps. We filled with glitter so I used a little hot glue to secure the lid in a way that wouldn't make the church janitorial staff hate me.

Bought these as well as some 1.5ml tubes with pointed ends for easier measurements of small quantities.These are small tubes, low mass, high RPMIf you have ever used a centrifuge in a lab, you have probably used these.. if not, you can relax knowing they are not going to leak or the lids pop off.Big bag, could take me years to get through them since I am only using them to test for sediments in cooling fluids.
