I upgraded to a QNAP TS-262 NAS and initially installed SSDs without heatsinks. During the initial data transfer, my SSDs and HDD were running so hot that they failed. I had to manually set the fan to 100% to keep everything cool. The first heatsinks that I ordered were too tall to fit the chassis, so I returned and ordered these. Now not only do the SSDs run cooler during normal use, they consistantly are cooler than my HDDs! I returned the fan to 'Performance' mode and everything has been fine for a week. Definitely a great buy if your home NAS is running hot!

A super simple solution that reduces heat on your m.2 drive. This comes with two sets of heat sinks, pads, and cleaning wipes. However, the wipes were both dry even though it states one was to be wet. These used to clean the surface of oils to create the best contact between the drive and the thermal pad. There is no adhesive on the pads of course. The pads are the 3mm thickness. They are not squishy, so i feel they don't make the best contact that they could if you have squishier pads. Nice metal clips. Good quality bands.My drive was idling at 62 degrees Celsius, as the drive sits right above the video card. So, the heat rises from the card and makes the drive a bit warm. After installation, the Idling temps are now at 34 degrees and full operating temp peek at 47 degrees Celsius.Was very simple: clean the surface, place thermal pad down, place heat sink on thermal pad, clip on, and install drive back into my PC.

Easy mount and run through for most NVMEs. If you get an NVME without a heatsink, in many cases you may not need it - well-ventilated cases can help. But if you're running hot video cards nearby, or if you are running a faster NVME, a good heatsink can make a difference in performance before your drive throttles speed and you lose performance and durability of your drive

Added a new NVMe drive to the Aero OLED and realized the included NVMe with the laptop didn't have a heat sink. This two packed worked perfectly. The heatsinks press up a little on the metal bottom panel of the laptop, so it takes a very small amount pressure to close the laptop. This isn't bad as it makes the thermal pads have better contact and the bottom panel likely adds a bit more of heat transfer from the heatsinks.The cleaning pads were dried out/useless, but they weren't really needed anyway.Overall perfect and couldn't be happier with the product.

These come with the thermal heat pad, the useless rubber bands and the very nice stainless steel clips you should use instead. Remember to arrange them so they clip around the back of the SSD with the sparingly feet out front on the heatsink. If you put them on the heatsink then clip them around to the SSD the small clip surfaces can scratch the SSD coating and damage the traces beneath. The heatsinks are low profile, 3mm high, which is ideal for use in tight spaces and 1U servers for example.

I used these 2 heatsinks both on 2 separate WD Black SN850X M.2 SSD drives. Newer PCI Express gen 4 drives generate alot more heat than older gen 3 drives. The heatsink keeps both drives in 2 different desktop computers around 50 degrees C or less PEAK temperature. They typically idle around 39-40 C. For the cost, they work well and even better than some of the heatsinks that came with my motherboards. Those longer motherboard heatsinks while bigger, don't always allow for good contact surface connection to the SSD as evenly as this 80mm long heatsink model.

I got this for a WD Black M.2 Gen 4. I was getting pretty high thermals--in the mid-60's C on an SSD that had a maximum safe operating temperature of 70 C. It didn't come with its own heatsink, so I grabbed one of these. Installation was crazy easy and, once I popped the M.2 back in, temperatures were reliably under 55 C. I have not seen it go over 60 since I bought it, even with pretty intense loads. Very good buy, can recommend.

Got this two pack and they are fantastic heatsinks for NVMe drives. The included silver braces felt a bit loose so I used the bands and they look great in the case and cover up the NVMe drives keeping them cool.

positiv:-- Gummis und Clipse dabei-- flache Bauhöhe, dennoch hohe Ableitoberfläche für die Wärme(ich benutze die Kühlkörber für 4 NVMe Streifen auf einer OCIe Steckkarte. da gehen nur solch flache passiv-Kühler, sonst ist nicht genug Platz, um die nächstliegenden PCIe Slots mit weiteren Karten zu bestücken)-- einwandfreie Alu Qualität und wirklich eben (flach, gerade, nicht krumm)negativ:-- für mich als Bastler und Handwerker: nichts Negatives.-- für Ungeübte etwas fummelig zu montieren, was vermutlich für alle vergleichbare Produkte gilt.bitte beachten:-- benutzen Sie jedenfalls ein ESD Band am Handgelenk mit Erdung und eine ESD Unterlage zum arbeiten!-- ich hatte NVMe Chips, die bereits eine Aluminium Platte auf die Chips verklebt hatten. Dadurch waren die Clipse sehr knapp und konnten wegen der größeren Dicke des NVMe Streifens nicht ohne weiteres montiert werden. Zunächst verwendete ich die flexiblen Gummis, um den Kühler in Position zu halten und dann öffnete ich die Clips mit einer Zange etwas weiter und konnte mit ordentlich Fingerkraft montieren.-- benutzen Sie immer die Clips, da die Gummis sicher nach einiger Zeit abfallen, weil sie, wie alle solche Gummis. einfach zerbröseln.

Got this for a PS5 M.2 drive.Works perfectly!No problems with memory access speed or temp throttling.Comes with thermal pad (and fixings.)This pad is not sticky so can be adjusted easily and can be changed to another drive if necessary in the future so I didnt really need the 2 pack but now I have a spare, just in case.
