Your cart is empty. The ACDelco GM Original Equipment Trailer Brake Control signals a trailer’s brake system when the driver presses on the brake pedal and adjusts how much braking power is needed to stop the trailer, and is a GM-recommended replacement for your vehicle's original components. This trailer brake control has been manufactured to fit your GM vehicle, providing the same performance, durability, and service life you expect from General Motors.

Fixed my trailer brake controller perfectly and at a price much cheaper than it would of cost at the dealership. The replacement of the brake controller was very easy, 2012 Chevrolet Silverado LT 3500. Just removed two Phillip-head screws to loosen dash panel beneath steering column, then easily pried with screwdriver the panel off, unplug connector, bent tabs holding in brake controller, slide out, slide new one in and secured with tabs, re-installed connector, re-installed panel. Started truck and the error was gone, brake controller adjustment gain worked as it should. I'm very happy with the product. It's not uncommon for the factory Chevrolet brake controllers to go bad, this is an easy fix after you check your trailer brake fuses, wiring, and receptacle plugs.

This was an exact fit for my 2013 Silverado 1500 Ext Cab 5.3L. Easy to swap and the labels were an exact match! Very happy.

I tow a 38’ 5th wheel so it is important that the brakes on it work. When I got off of a highway exit and the trailer pushed me halfway through the intersection at the end of the ramp I knew something was wrong. I do all of my own mechanic work on everything I own for two reasons; cost and I have been ripped off too many times. The only way you can truly diagnose this module being bad is with a brake force meter that plugs into your 7 way trailer receptacle. You can get them here on Amazon for under $150.00. Cheap compared to what an RV dealer or mechanic would charge to diagnose the problem.

I bought this to try preventing a random "Service Brake System" chime/alert. It's slightly different than my 2016 Chev Silverado 2500HD Turbo Diesel uses--it doesn't fit the dashboard slot. However, I was able to disassemble it, remove the controller / slider board, and use it to replace the existing slider control. Sadly, this wasn't the needed fix, and I'm moving on to try two GM Genuine Parts 23337305 Trailer Brake Power Control Module Assemblies, located under the box, above the spare tire. If that doesn't do the trick (at $75/each) I'll move on back to the wiring to the fifth wheel, although I'm less convinced that's where the issue is, since the annoying alert / chime can randomly occur when the trailer's not connected. There are a LOT of complaints about this integrated electronic brake controller out there, and everyone has a different fix, from discovering broken wires or components, to problems within the electronic brakes, to corrosion on wires, to bad ground connections in the truck or in the trailer, to faulty trailer harness & associated connections (both in the truck, and in the trailer). There seems to be too many possible sources of the problem to make this an easy repair; if you get it right in one try, you're apparently one of the few who have.

Just went to install this in my 2015 GMC 2500 Denali, and it does not fit. It looks very close, but will not work because there's a front panel like it should be surface mounted, but my factory one sets into the openings/slots from the back. I even took the plastic front off in hopes that it would still fit reasonably well, but then all the internals are exposed - definitely not going to work. I'm returning this, but the quality looked fine, and the connector looks like it would have functioned. Even though amazon said this would fit my truck, definitely not a match. If yours is rear-mounted like mine this won't work.(In the photo, the AC Delco part is on the left, the factory part is in the middle, and the dash panel is on the right.)

Arrived quickly and was a decent price. Having trouble with my trailer brakes I started trouble shooting from this switch. I replaced the original controller with this one in a matter of minutes.

Fits perfectly with less hassle to do it yourself person. There's no need to spend money from the dealer that charges me more for the same part.
