I have had a fairing bike with stereo, then I had bullet speakers with an amp before this on my shadow 1100. One bullet started to crack so I decided to try the go hawk. Initial impression was that it was not quite as loud and has less bass than bullet (driveway test)After a couple rides with a helmet I changed my mind. Unlike the bullet at 50mph I could hear well enough to actually listen to the song. Now it's not going to rattle windows from a stop light not even close but my bullet speakers would drown out to so if I didn't know the song and it changed at speed I had to guess or hear just enough to fill in the blanks if that makes sense.I say go for it. Sounds really good. Built in radio (mind antenna wire placement. Signal get distorted if it is tied with any other type of electric wire), low enough profile to blend with your motorcycle. It's great especially for the price.Easy installRecommend running power wire through a toggle switch so you don't have battery drain issues and make sure it is completely off not being a vampire on your battery.

I installed one on my bike, it sounds great at low speeds but once you go over 55 it is hard to hear even without a helmet. It fit great on my handlebars and was fairly easy to install.

For what it was worth, this speaker works great... loud enough at 40mph... highway speeds will drown it out though. Overall completely satisfied with the purchase

Giving this 3 stars as a Nuetral Review. It wasnt what I needed, but it has its good points.Having a Harley with no fairing, this was an idea to give me some music while riding. Not being sold on the whole idea, I opted for this vs the $400 Hi End option. Glad I went this route first, because its just not loud enough. Dont think the $400 option would be either.Positive: Took only a few seconds to connect to Bluetooth.Negative: All volumes turned up, I started the bike and revved to 2500rpm (normal crusing engine speed)... the music got lost in the exhaust sitting still. Add wind to the equation and it wouldve been completely drowned out. Just simply not loud enough for motorcycles.Positive: The sound quality was good for the price (Just not enough wattage to overcome a typical Harley exhaust). The appearance was good. The size wasnt too overbearing so it didnt look completely out of place on a bare bones "hot rod" look.Negative: The mounting clamps are cheap, and too small. Needing clamps to wrap a 1.25" handlebar, these dont come close to fitting. Furthermore, on a custom built bike, attention to detail is crucial. These clamps just arent up to par for my build. On a stock bike, they'd be fine, but had I decided to permanently mount this, I would've found nicer clamps since I needed new ones anyway.Initially i planned to return this. However, I decided, for the price, Im going to hang onto it. Being 12Vdc powered, I will likely find another use for it.

Contrary to all of the positive reviews which I'm very surprised by.,Product is made from very cheap plastic, all treble. The real kicker is after one night of light rain it was rendered inoperable.. that wasn't before it lit a fire under my bikes seat and I had to rip it out quickly before it escalated. Resulting in cauterized slices down each finger.The one day it did work, I couldn't hear it going 25mph down a side road.Wiring was proper, I do it for a living. Waste of money, took a chance and lost I guess. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who wants any kind of half way decent speaker, as well as this product clearly not being QC'd and safe

Easy hook up and sounds good. Of course it's not extremely loud enough with my pipes while sitting still and accelerating. But really nice at cruising speed.

Going in I did not have high expectations considering the price. I wanted it to work though. Packaging was good and all parts were there. Installation was fairly simple if your somewhat mechanically incline and have basic tools and patience. Once installed it was simple to get started. Radio function worked immediately. Bluetooth connection was standard. The controls, or lack there of, were disappointing. Volume and seek used same buttons making it clumsy to change the volume especially considering it may be being done while riding (motorcycle). The visual screen left much to be desired. The actual sound was ok. Better than I anticipated and loud and clear enough to hear while riding. The issue I had consistently was the Bluetooth continued to disconnect. The only way I was able to get it to reconnect was to pull power and reconnect. Too much clumsiness to deal with so I returned.

This item would good if GoHawk did not knowingly send out a faulty product! And when asking to buy a replacement item, I was advised not to bother as the units they sell require "a firmware" update!? Please don't bother with this outfit and save your money!

I’m quite happy with the unit. I installed it just before a 4000 km trip. Overall I’m satisfied. It does sound a little tinny but the speakers are only so big. At highway speed it is listenable although it does require having the face shield up. I’m glad I bought it and it does its job.
