I LOVE this rosin! It doesn't leave lots of dust, and it's nice and grippy on the strings. Definatley an upgrade from the stuff I was using. I would recommend it, even though it's pricey.

I am a beginning adult cello student and know very little yet. I initially purchased a different brand of rosin but found it hard to use, so I purchased this one because of the reviews. What a difference! The rosin is easier to use, my bow sounds better, and my teacher approves. She says that this rosin is usually purchased by people who have far more experience than I do, but she's glad, that like my cello, I purchased one of the best. I think unless I drop and break this rosin, it will last for quite some time. I am very pleased with the purchase of this rosin, and even my inexperienced ears can tell that a better rosin makes for better playing.

First of all - the rosin is fine.BUT- it comes a) without a box with it's name on it, and b) with just a scrappy bit of flannel around it, and no elastic band to hold the flannel around the rosin.If you're paying more than $30 for a piece of rosin, don't you think they could have packaged it better?

This rosin brings more sound out of my cello and allows the bow to dig in the strings easier without scratching sound. A rosin will not change the sound of your playing “completely†but this one does help. Given its soft nature, one does need to clean the string and instrument after each practice. It’s good a habit anyway.

My favorite rosin to use. I have been a devoted Liebenzeller fan for many years now and I have to say, it is by far my favorite rosin to use in cello playing. I use Gold IV for daily practice and orchestral performances, and occasionally, I switch to Gold III for solo performances.

While a bit expensive, this rosin is great. It works to produce a nice, vibrant sound and minimizes some of the extra noise I've been experiencing with some other rosins.
