These are my favorite needles for hand quilting. I know some people have commented that they bend - indeed after a period of use they do bend, but so do any other quilting needles I have tried. The reason I prefer the John James needles to any other is that they are beautifully sharp, and remain sharp for a considerable period of use. With other brands of quilting needle I always feel as if I am forcing a blunt object through the fabric. The John James needles glide beautifully through the fabric, allowing me to make evenly-spaced stitches.

Great brand. Sharp and ease of use. The eye size makes it easy to thread. The sturdiness is as needed for quilting by hand.

These needles are impossible to thread. The eye is longer but narrower than the eyes of John James golden eye quilting needles. I even broke my needle threader trying to pull hand quilting thread through.

The needles are good, but eyes not as large as other needles I have used. Probably would not reorder.

I first used these needles for hand applique and hand quilting. I was unable to find them till now. I love hand sewing with them!

Eye is way too small, even with a needle threader.
