We needed to replace our original winch strap belt for our bayliner boat. We did some research on line and found that people were actually charging a awful lot for a strap. We ended up coming up across this seller and did more research. Their reviews were very positive and decided to purchase from them. That is why I went with this seller. We removed our old winch from the trailer and had no problem replacing with the new one. It came with a new pin and assembly was easy and fast. The stitching on the winch was nice. Seems heavy duty and had no problems on our first trip out to the lake. We went on a fairly long trip and felt very comfortable with the boat on the trailer. Over all we felt it was a good purchase and deal. All of my reviews are written with the hope of helping other Amazon customers make the right buying decisions for themselves. To help increase awareness of a particular product it might be positive or negative, but in the end it is honest. I was not compensated for my review and all my opinions are my own. I hope this has helped you in some way. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, I will get back to you. I will leave a update after a few more trips to the lake as far as how well they are holding up with time.

I replaced a winch cable with this strap, and now it is much easier to crank up my boat without getting the cable twisted and tangled. This strap installed easily and works as intended, without tangling or overlapping itself as I crank up the boat from the water.

Worked like a charm on our 22’ pontoon boat. The old strap was worn and become dry rotted thus making it brutal and snapped luckily as we were turning on our street after roughly an hour drive home open down the mountains. This new unit went in a place easily and with the help of one of my kids holding it out somewhat tight we just we’re actually in all the excess hooked onto the boat and snuggled up on the trailer trying to rock it somewhat to get it all the way hold tight. Thus far it’s worked like a charm on the lake and everywhere else. Would definitely buy again if needed.

For only a few dollars more, much stronger (4000 lbs) than similar product and not perceptibly thicker. The reason I didn't give it five stars is the bolts. It came with two. I actually planned to use my old bolt, but when I removed it, I saw it was bent. Even though I pounded it back to shape it seemed like I should use a new bolt. Two issues there. First, the bolt I took out which the winch had bent, was grade 5. The bolts supplied with the strap were grade 2, so even more likely to bend. Second, neither of the new bolts was short enough. If the bolt is too long, the winch won't turn. So I went to buy a new bolt. I took me a while because the length needed to be 2.75 inches, and most stores had 2.5 or 3. I did find it in an industrial supply store. I opted for grade 8 for extra strength. It only cost about a buck, so price was not an issue. Just don't count on using the supplied bolts, they may not fit. I did use the supplied locknut. Even with the bolt problem I would buy this strap again just for the extra strength for not a lot of extra money.

This was a perfect replacement for the winch strap on my ShoreLander trailer. The old one had gotten faded and ripped after 17 years of saltwater and sun. Very easy to remove the old one and replace with this one.

I actually did not use all of the strap. I cut off 2/3 of the old one and then cut a similar length on the new one and used Gorilla Glue to hold the two pieces together. I don't use that much strap and the junction of the old and new are wrapped beneath several layers of the strap and there is not strain on the junction. The hook worked fine on my 16 foot aluminum Fisher.

Easy install, seems sturdy and fits on my winch spool with room to spare. Label clearly says 2,600lb winch 4,000lb break. Came with two bolts that I measured to be 3.25†and 3.5†and one 9/16†nut. Easily installed using the provided bolt and nut. Easy beginner project, just make sure your boat weighs

My boat trailer winch strap deteriorates every few years and it is a good safety measure to replace it before it fails. Your winch strap is your boat's connection to the trailer, and while there should be a safety chain, not everyone uses it.This strap is solid, takes weather pretty well, and it is plenty strong to pull my 19ft boat all the way up the ramp using the winch (I don't motor my boat on the trailer). When I replace it in a few years, I will replace it with another Dutton-Lainson strap.
