I have a few ski bags and needed something lightweight and simple for carrying skis in my car.1. The roll-top means the bag isn't any longer than it has to be, so it's easier to neatly put the skis in my car.2. The other key feature that other sets at this price point don't have is the zip down flap from the side of the boot bag to rest your feet on while fighting ski boots. Previously I travelled with a welcome mat in the trunk of my car that I would toss on the parking lot for this purpose.The bag has modest padding, which will protect the edges a bit, and also protect other things in the trunk from my skis. The reinforced bottom makes me more comfortable with standing it upright against the car or wall in snowy or slushy places.All that being said, I would not feel comfortable using this bag for air travel. If you've got skis you care enough about that your fly with them, it's worth upgrading to a more structured bag. However, I don't like having to handle the oversized structured bag when I don't have to, such as when I'm traveling to the slopes by car-- that's where this bag shines.

I like the ski bag. I ended up buying a better boot bag. Still good value though. Highly recommend.

We got these very last moment for a ski trip to Denver. They looked great on arrival. I was a little worried since they material was a big thin, but everything held up great traveling. There are a lot of zippers, pockets, in the boot bag for extra storage and straps to keep your skiis in place in the ski bag. For the price, I would definitely buy again!

I bought this for my college bound son to haul his skis on the plane. Its not the most durable, but then I didn't want to spend too much. It fits the bill. Skis, boots and helmet all fit in both bags. I recommend for those on a budget, but still want relatively good quality. -Jim

Quality is better than expected for the price. Got for my son to take on school ski trips and we’re very happy with it, as is he. I wish the boot bag was a backpack, but that’s just a personal preference I didn't think about until later.

Bought this combo for a ski trip. Loved both bags. They are both roomie and secure gear well. I was actually able to not only store my equipment, but was also able to fit all of my ski clothing in the bags eliminating the need for extra luggage for ski clothes. I wish the ski bag had a little more padding but having the ability to also pack my clothes with gear gives it plenty of cushion.Good value for the price.
