Used to top off our newly constructed boat house. Cupola came packaged well, all parts accounted for, and on time. We needed extension rod to attach the weathervane (also Good Directions) to cupola due to cupola being a large size; contacted Good Directions directly and they were very helpful. Extension rod was also purchased from Amazon. Scheduled delivery of this oversized item was flawless. Purchased this same cupola (larger 60 inch) for newly constructed house (topped those with Good Directions finial). Great product!

Product looks like it does in the picture. Quality of product is good. However, product arrived damaged. It's a big thing to be going via UPS. Be sure to allow a lot of lead-time on ordering this. We scheduled roofers for the day after arrival, and since it was damaged, we had to forgo a Cupola altogether. Very sad.UPDATE ON 4/24/17: I would rate down Amazon customer support if I could. After calling them, they said they could not re-ship only the base. They also said that they could not expedite shipping on an entire replacement unit before my install deadline which was 5 days away. (this is a problem with everything at Amazon being automated... no human flexibility). But, I email Good Directions directly using the customer service email address on their website. They responded on the same day, apologized for the problem, and expedited a new base out to me. It arrived on time. So, 5 stars for this product and for Good Directions, but 1 star for Amazon robots.

Product looks exactly as shown. It was well packaged and constructed. I would highly recommend getting one that is already covered as shingling this (as a novice) is going to be a pain in the butt. As this will be a functional vent, I added metal screen to the inside of the louvred faces.

This cupola was packaged well and arrived in good condition. It looks really nice too. I was disappointed that it is not really vinyl but rather wood with a vinyl like coating. I don't know how this will last in the elements once installed.

It was generally well made ,and easy to finish assembly which you have to do in order to install it.I wish it came with a metal (copper) roof already because it added a lot of time to add. I am handy with this sort of thing but what about those who are not?

Horrendous. Not PVC, but wood. Was advertised as copper roof, wasn't (description has been corrected). Amazon was great in taking it back. But very disappointing.

When we received this we thought it looked good. I knew it had said vinyl but I wasn’t sure. We installed it tonight in about 1.5 hrs, after work in 90 degree weather. It WAS solid vinyl (except for the roof that’s covered with shingles) which thrills me to know I won’t be needing to paint it in a year! Simple easy to follow instructions. We are advanced DIY-ers but I think anyone could easily do this.

I bought this cupola for the top of my small chicken coop and the size and weight is perfect. The description shows this as vinyl; but I received an all pine cupola in raw untreated wood. The one I received is only “stapled†together. (No nails, no screws, no glue). I decided to keep it as I got a “warehouse deal†and for the price it fit my needs. I will have to completely prime & paint the entire cupola as well as shingle the roof. I will be adding wood screws to add strength and longevity to it; as I know the staples will not hold up over time. The style matches the pics listed; and over-all the construction is good. It looks great; not shoddy. I wanted one side of my cupola to open for a light to be put inside. I was able to pull out the staples fairly easily because they were small and pine is soft. Most likely would not have worked so well had this been vinyl it was supposed to be. If you order and get the pine like I did- I would not recommend for a house rooftop; as it simply will not be hold up long. Also be prepared for some work- these are a bugger to paint with all the angles. The vinyl would come white from the factory and be much better quality. You may get the correct item paying full price and will most likely be pleased with it. Over-all happy with this but.

Arrived with some damage. Product is Not Vinyl. It is prime Elite coated pine. Will have to have finish paint. Should not be advertised as vinyl.
