Our high top kitchen chair's vinyl chair pads had developed a couple of cuts in them through the years. I recently re-covered them with new vinyl as a winter project, but this tube of vinyl repair liquid proved excellent and improved well beyond my past experiences with this liquid type of repair solution. But, it worked surprisingly well. The trick is to put on at least 5-6 coats on the cut in the fabric. It is a dark charcoal black colored liquid and takes a few minutes to dry and it doesn't build up. Having around 6+ coats did not lift the cut since it dries quite flat. The liquid is a very thin viscosity and squirts out fast so be careful. It applies easily with the tube it comes in (once I figured out that it is not a thick liquid), After a year the repairs were as solid as the first day I repaired them despite heavy use of the chairs during the year.Bottom line, I recommend this stuff at least as a temporary solution based on my experience with its effectiveness.

I’ve used this product before and am familiar with it. The contents of the repair tube I received was a grey liquid that made a mess and did not work (yes I shook it). There was a solid paste in the middle so I’m guessing the contents separated. Looks like QC issues.

I felt a clump in the middle of the tube so I kneaded it and shook it for a long time before opening. Upon opening with product still would not come out of the tube. I used pliers to squeeze it and what little bit did come out was already set up. Not workable by any means. The only accomplishment was frustration. I’m thinking it was just a bad batch. Quality control issue. I ordered a replacement tube with hopes that it works as described.Received second tube and it is just as ridiculous as the first one. What a waste of time. It would seem they’re just selling off old stock that has gone bad.

Unfortunately, there are not a lot of good repair options for small tears or holes in vinyl. Not needing a full-on patch kit, I decided to give this "seat repair" a try on 2 motorcycle seats. One had a small split where the vinyl was wrapped at a corner on the underside and the other had a small puncture hole on the lower edge that I was hoping to make a little more aesthetically pleasing and seal to keep the foam inside safe from the elements.Well, the pictures speak for themselves. The split on the bottom of the first seat was easily repaired by laying a fairly heavy bead of this product in 2 built-up layers. However, while I was meticulous with the application on the puncture hole in the other seat, no amount of care resulted in a smooth finish or even fill. I went over it 3 times with fairly thin layers, but even when it looked good "wet", it was much more uneven when dried. In the end, it really doesn't look any better than when I started, which is a shame.The product appears to "bond" by slightly melting the vinyl it comes into contact with. This was more of a challenge for the puncture where I was trying to be delicate, but the product made the material itself soft and gummy. Also, working time is super short. You have about 20 seconds to lay down and smooth out the bead before you risk ruining the bond by touching the product.All in all, I'm fairly satsified for the price compared to other "repair" options, but I don't think I would purchase again.

worked good on tractor seat to fill in cracks. I did add a seat patching over top since my defects (cracks) werelarge. I would work fine by its self on small tears.
