Has a good overall design. I used it about 25 time now and ran it in the dishwasher after each use. I can say its dish washer safe. It had has not discolored or tarnished the metal even the silicone handle still looks new. I have soft water so that may factor in. The construction is good and solid for a meat hammer. Side note: This is a meat hammer not a nail hammer so don't try driving nails in or turn your meat into past with one forceful hit and only use it to tenderizer meat it should last for years.

We recently remodeled our kitchen and when we put our old meat tenderizer in the dishwasher it. tarnished so I went on line and found this one. It's dishwasher safe and sturdy. The red handle matches several items in our kitchen that have red handles. The only thing is our old one had smaller groves on one of the sides where this one is flat on one side. I'm thinking the flat will be fine. It's plenty heavy too.

If you looking to pound some meat, this is the tool for you. you can beat it flat or just tenderize it to your specific needs. the grip is solid and the impact is felt.

This is a nice heavy duty tenderizer. It feels good in the hand and the dual sides to flatten or tenderize is nice. Well made.

I was a bit skeptical about this mallet based on the price but don't let the relatively low price fool you! This mallet is well balanced, has a nice grip, and is easy to clean. The two-sided head makes it useful for many chores: tenderizing &/or flattening meats, & making cracker crumbs, for example.

I use this all the time when prepping chicken. The handle grip keeps it from slipping out of my hand . Easy to use and clean.

This tool does the work for you. I make schnitzels with it and it takes almost no time and effort. Its not oversized but its power is. DISHWASHER SAFE too, which shockingly was hard to find. Have sold a few more via recommendations
