I bought this for my bedroom but found that it was noisy enough that I had to tinkle twice as often during the night. So, I moved it to my office and found that the noise is manageable by moving/adding rocks so I'm not off every five minutes to make the bladder gladder (as we used to say). The light is low enough that it adds a bit of ambience without making it look like there's a used car lot in my work space.

I bought this fountain in November and have used it daily. I used only Reverse Osmosis water in it, and cleaned it regularly to remove the sort of “slimy†buildup that occurred in the base. It is now August, 9 months after purchase, and it is splashing so much water out both left and right sides that it has become unusable which is disappointing because I was enjoying it!Pros:* Easy assembly* Nice appearance* Didn’t require daily refilling (only about every third day)* Pump was quiet* Fairly loud water sounds. You could hear the water sounds in other rooms. This could be a pro or a con depending on what you’re wanting.Cons:* No adjustment on pump. Maybe my pump arrived broken, but there is no way to adjust the strength of the flow, so it was only high. This meant…* Splashing. No matter how I tried positioning rocks, or removing them altogether, this fountain left splashes around it, particularly on the left side. **This got significantly worse over time.*** Loud water sounds. I wanted more of a “trickling†sound for relaxation purposes, and this was definitely stronger than that, again because the pump lacked any way to adjust the flow strength. This didn’t stop me from enjoying the fountain while it was functioning properly, it just wasn’t my preference.If this fountain hadn’t become so splash-y, I would have rated it higher. As it is, though, only giving 9 months of use, I don’t believe it gave good value for the money I spent.

I bought this because some people complained that it is too loud, and I could tell from the high spout you probably get good sound. It works great! Easy to clean and put together. It is awesome for meditation!

As I learned, this little guy likes to splash. If you're getting a splash, consider that you may have broken one or two rules:1. Do not overfill the fountain. The water should be just below the screen mesh. Filling the water above the screen mesh will result in a subtle splash that will puddle over time. The mesh is there to break the fall of the stream, let it do it's job even though having the water up higher looks better.2. Keep the rocks off of the mesh. The fountain is covered in notes warning against this out of the box, but here it is again if you missed it.Hope this helps anyone less experienced with fountains like myself.

This looks great, is nice and compact, and relatively quiet. However, the way the fountain is designed leaves almost no margin for error. It worked great for maybe a week until the pump became slightly weaker, and because the water does not quite make it to the meshed section it just splashes all over the bottom surface and all over the counter. Essentially useless. I mitigated this by putting a little ramp so the water does not splash when it hits, but I absolutely do not believe the pump is high quality at all. I mean, what do you expect for $40, but still...disappointing. Hopefully you'll just get one where the pump works properly for a long time, instead of failing almost immediately, relatively speaking.

First of all we do not dislike anything !!We had another fountain which will now go into the office where it will be more suited as the sound of the water is less than this fountainits the first fountain that we can actually hear nice and loud ! its all about placing the rocks in the right place We also love the look of the fountain itself the material its made fromWe are very happy Amazon customers

J'ai acheté cette petite fontaine pour mes perruches. Elles y boivent et y prennent leur bain. Hélas, la petite grille sous la grande chute n'a pas résisté longtemps (photo 1) ainsi que la lumière (photo 2). Beaucoup d'éclaboussures. Il ne faut pas oublié de rajouter de l'eau au moins 1 fois par jour.

The fountain is really cute and works, but it splashes well outside the edge of the fountain. I put a 20 inch tray under it and still had a puddle six inches outside the edge of the tray. It would ruin my floor if I left it running.

Dont buy this waste of money and they won’t replace it. The Pump quits pumping water.

Not sure if I received a defective one or if it just works this way but the water is barely even flowing down AND the fountain is soooo small. For the price I paid… not worth it at all. I’m not happy at all. I’m super upset :(
