Govee Flood Lights 2 are much brighter and cover a larger area than the first generation. They were very easy to set up, connect to our WiFi and connect /control with Alexa. One can easily turn several sets on and off with App or Voice commands. One can as n also set up automation and automatic events colors, brightness, and on/off cycles.

I have quite a bit of Govee stuff and these lights don't disappoint. I'm replacing a string of 2 version 1 of these which I've replaced once before. They seemed to be dying because of leaks into the electronics. These ones, however, are much more solidly made over version 1. They appear to be a bit brighter and have more vivid colors as well as I compare to the 6 string ones I also have in place next to them. Nice improvements Govee. Keep innovating.

Worked exactly like expected. We have the Govee Permanent Elites and the Govee Curtain 2. The flood lights connected to the rest of the setup perfectly and we’ve had no issues. Water resistant. Easy install.

I purchased the first generation of this light when it first came out, and it lasted through the winter before one of the lights stopped working. Purchased this to replace it, and so far the quality is noticeably better. The lights are way brighter and the materials used higher quality. Setting it up in the app was simple.FYI, if setting this up with Matter: after finishing pairing it with the Govee app the directions say you have 15 min to add it using Matter. I looked all over the box and included documentation for the RFID or code with no luck. The Matter code is in the lights settings in the Govee app. I had to use a second device to capture the RFID from my phones screen. The light works fine with Smartthings using Matter.If anyone from Govee is reading this, please consider formatting the Matter code in the app so it can be copy/pasted.

These are really good floodlights they do the work and they do what they say in the product description however, they do come with a huge limitation of not being able to daisychain auto extended. Every connector has around 9 feet of length my trees in the front yard I bought these to light them up in the holidays and they are approximately 50 feet apart With the bag of four lights. These connectors cannot be sealed or can’t be extended which means you’re stuck with four connectors 9 feet apart, which does not do the job I have multiple goofy products and one of the biggest limitations of Govee is the extension you cannot extend these lights. There are no extensions available. There are no connectors or extension cables, which can be used to set them far apart so that they can still light up. For me, this is a big gone, considering the price of the pack on the other hand. I also use Philips hue. The possibilities are unlimited. You can extend create your own patterns. Arrange them the way you want with the help of connectors extension, cables, extension boxes.One of the other biggest limitations is that like themselves are waterproof however, the control box and the adapter is not what’s the point of making an outdoor light where the controller box or the power adapter is not waterproofConsider the cost of purchasing outdoor waterproof boxes, extension tables, considering above two cons. Govi Customer Care has told me that they are launching extensions for these lights by end of November. My return window gonna be closed by then so probably I’ll return them and buy again once the extension cables are available probably that’s the time. I’ll revisit this review

I have to say, I was a little apprehensive about these as I've hard mixed results for smart lights on Amazon. These felt solid and well-made right out of the box!Setup on Google Home through Matter took less than 5 minutes and the lights are very responsive. I then also downloaded and connected the Govee app and the level of customizations and effects is nuts!I bought these to complement my Halloween display but I'm already dreaming up more uses. As long as these lights hold up they are a solid 5 stars!

The lights are great, the Govee app is terrible though, the automation is broken.

What i like is that you can adjust the brightness, turn off/on with app, change theme etc and ease of assembly!Enjoying using them for Christmas decor outside!
