As the title says, I'm on the fence about this product and I haven't decided if I like it or not. I'm a portrait artist, specializing in colored pencils and I love working on drafting film. I frequently get asked if I can do a black background and when I saw this product, I had to try it.The problem is that since it arrived two days ago, I've used three sheets from this pad and every single sheet has had serious defects in it. The first sheet had a gouge in it that went half the length of the sheet. The second sheet had a similar gouge that was about three inches long. The third sheet, same thing, just in a different area. To some people, this might not be an issue but for me, when I'm doing realism portraits for clients I absolutely cannot send them a portrait that has an obvious scratch down the center of the film that can't be covered because the pencils skip right over the top defect. Maybe it's just a flaw in this particular pad of drafting film? I can't say. If I do continue trying to work with this brand, however, I think I'll order the larger sheets from Blicks. At least then if there's a similar defect, I've got a larger area to work with to avoid the scratches altogether.

I used it for alcohol inks.
