Was small enough to place inside the steering crash can. An improvement would be to provide a longer center bolt. Had to buy a longer bolt at the hardware store

Confusing as all can be to figure out how to use for the "non-mechanic" (and the instructions were more or less just a diagram... nightmarish when you are sitting in your car when it is 20 below)... but I did figure it out... and it did work to successfully pull the steering wheel off of my old 1996 Cavalier to replace the light switch and dimmer.
