I hate to use things once and throw them away but when it comes to the wasted water used to clean and reuse brushes I would rather waste a foam brush, paint roller or pad than waste the water to reuse them. One hint. When using rollers, pads, brushes (of any kind) you can paint the first coat, insert the tool into an airtight bag (of any kind) wrap the bag tightly and when the first coat is dry, open the bag and apply the second coat without wasting tools, simply because you kept air from the tool between coats. I have had paint remain wet and the tools reusable for days repeating this process and only using one tool of each type for corners, the main field and the edges. Buy in bulk instead of big box one or two at a time and wasting gallons of water, and polluting the runoffs at the same time.
