Had my son put this together and edge the sidewalks and it made a great clean edge. Professional results. Son said it was easy to use. He swept up the grated grass and dirt that it cut through and left the sidewalks looking edged and great. I like that it's a plug-in because I only have 2 smallish sort of concrete sidewalks and patio (maybe 80 feet of edging altogether) and the plugs are handy and I used a 50 foot cord. Really great.

Simple design and assembly. Plenty of power if you're even a little bit patient (it is electric, after all). I bought one that was a refurb/scratch and dent package, whatever, and it was absolutely perfect, brand new, never used, not a scratch. Just came in a generic box is all.I suppose my only observational thing is that on my first run, I did the edging shortly after rain, let's say a few hours, and as I hadn't edged this concrete in 6 years living here, there was a fair amount of work to be done. The dirt/mud did get pretty packed up inside the blade housing, which really, if anything, is more a testament to how powerful the motor is...the blade didn't ever stop, just packed the thing tight. So I kept a long, big screwdriver handy and scraped it out every so often. Next run...dry, easy, all good.My opinion is buy with confidence, terrific product so far.

Love this edger. I only use tp trim along my driveway works great for me. Don't take up much space in garage.

I really wanted to give this a great review. Upon arrival it looked l like it was just thrown into a box. There was no damage and the handle was wrapped in plastic. C'mon GreenWorks, you can do better than that! I did not like how hard it was too get the darn handle aligned to bolt it together. Tolerances for the bolt in the handle together are too tight. Also the curled cord going down the handle center kept getting in the way of the bolt. Once I got it I felt the handle was a little off. It does not have a guide that allows you to easily align the blade with the side walk. There is a visual guide but its pretty useless. You will find that the only way to be sure that you are against the sidewalk is to scrape the blade against the concrete.. Not good for blade life. You will definitely need an extra blade. That being said, it was reasonably powerful and did a good job although with sparks flying. I had also purchased last year a GreenWorks string trimmer which is very powerful and does a great job. If you don't mind a few sparks, give it a try. I'm thinking the Black & Decker would have been a better buy.

Just like their equipment, their warranty and support is just as excellent! I had an issue with this edger where I had to involve support. The issue could not get fix and they did not have a similars model. So, they gave me an upgraded model (48V (2x24V) 8" Edger w/ (2) 4.0Ah USB Batteries & Dual Port Charger) free of charge and continue the rest of my warranty with the upgraded model. The current and upgraded unit are not noisy, durable, maneuverable and very easy to use. Based on the power, upgraded cut a lot better than the original unit, so I loving the upgrade.

The price was right and this has saved me a ton of time around the house, driveway and pool. This greenworks edger was the lower cost option when comparing and I took a chance it is well built and durable with plenty of power. My only complaint is the design although I do think it is a complaint with many of these is the imbalance of the handle top heavy and can just about stay upright on its own let alone with a cord plugged in, I wish there was an option to extend the rear wheel back further or even an additional wheel on the back to maintain balance.
