Mainly got this to clear patches of sunflowers which have a thick woody stalk, and it’s done very well. The closest foot or so of the bar has longer teeth for larger diameter stuff. I started off slow and careful, but this thing rocks and now I just go with fairly reckless abandon and it doesn’t mind at all.It comes with a smaller battery than some of my other Greenworks stuff, but it’s lasted an hour of heavy cutting 3 times now. Showed one bar when I was beat but it still outlasted me. Very satisfied with the weight, maneuverability, and length. It comes with a battery and charger, great value for the money if it only lasted one season but it still works like new and I expect this to keep performing for years.

I like that I no longer have to worry about cutting through the power cord of my previous corded trimmer. This tool is large and fairly heavy, but it does an excellent job of cutting. We use it for overhanging, grasses, and branches on our trails, and to knock down plants in the garden in the fall. To keep it sharp and working well, I oil the blade after every use.

Let me start off by saying that, if you're a strong, fit individual, you're going to love this trimmer. It works really well. It cuts very clean. It is a bit noisy and, while hearing protection isn't a must, I was inclined to use it (I'm a musician and the health of my hearing is paramount). However, if you're 60+ yrs old and out of shape, you're in for a workout. Caveat: I did use my heavier 4 AH battery, instead of the supplied smaller 2AH battery, but it still would have been a workout. Thankfully, I don't need to use this trimmer but just a few times per year. If you're a short, elderly or weak individual, this may not be your best choice, as it does require a degree of physical strength to operate.

We bought the Greenworks Chainsaw along withI and extra battery. I have heard people complain about the price of the Batteries , but I will tell you this With the chainsaw alone I have saved money from not buying gas for sure. Along with this Hedge Trimmer this is the Master. I have 5 blueberry bushes, 8 different Snowball bushes, plus 4 azalea bushes, and 6 boxwood hedges. I accomplished all in 1 day. Clippers ran great & I love being able to swivel the handle for easier maneuvering. Light enough my arms did not get really tired from holding it very long. Overall I will give these a 9 out of 10 only because I wish it had a better sleeve to cover the blades. Go Green with Greenworks!!!!!!

We love this trimmer. It’s large enough to cut our pampas grasses! Smooth cut. Battery takes about an hr to recharge. Large battery, but still light enough to use with ease. Battery lasted about an hr, as well. We trimmed two very large pampas grasses during that time. Highly recommended.

It's a little early to give a long-term review as I received the trimmer yesterday, however, I immediately started trimming as soon as I unboxed it, and so far so good. I think I'm going to have long-term satisfaction with this head trimmer.By the way, I have the 80 V blower for several months now and it works great no complaints. The only negative for an old guy like me is the 80 V battery is a little heavy.

I leveled the top of bushes with one SWING. It so strong and didn’t even slow it down.
