I've had three different tape adapters for use with iPhones. This one has given by far the best results. I'm using it with a mid-range audio system in a Toyota Avalon which lacks any other input for iPhone. Sounds great.Small problem is that the plug to the iPhone is noisy when plugging in, but not troublesome otherwise.It's so nice to use my own music library in the car.I have NOT used the built in mirophone, so I can't rate it.

It works well and has pretty good sound quality. However, the wiring is really cheap. It came apart in under 3 months and stopped working. Unfortunately I can't find many other cassette adapters that have a mic so I guess I'm stuck buying this again :/

works great once i figured out how to control the volume from car to phone. Definitely had my car volume too high at first and the sound was distorted. After that adjustment it worked great!

Words fine for playing music, but using microphone as handsfree cell phone caused everyone I spoke to to complain of annoying echo (that went away when I unplugged).

The mic works farely well. I say its a good purchase. I know they have better products out there, but this one does just fine. Only one complaint and Im not sure if it the mic or the phone, but when I end a call the volume to my music is always set all the way down instead of just resuming at the same volume I had my phone set at.(Update)The inner workings of the cassette keeps making the it switch from side A to side B, then finally it ejects. This happened only two weeks after use. I no longer use this product. Went from 4 stars to 2.

I'm only giving it three stars because I'm not sure if it is my device or the product. I'm using Apple brand headphones with my Samsung Galaxy Note II so I highly doubt it is the jack on my device that is causing it to not work but I am going to wait until I get the next iPhone and if it still does not work, I will update this rating.

This gadget allows my son's IPhone to play through our old car's cassette player. It also allows incoming telephone calls to be heard over the car speaker system and gives him hands free ability to speak to callers through the microphone. A great way to update the car! Sometimes the cassette squeaks, but I think this is more a function of the cassette deck than the adapter, but who knows?

Le Griffin DirectDeck HandsFree est beaucoup plus qu'un simple adaptateur cassette qui se branche à votre iPhone, il intègre un micro pour vous permettre de répondre aux appels par le biais des enceintes de votre voiture.J'ai acheté pas mal d'adaptateurs cassette et tous avaient un problème : parfois le son ne sortait que du côté droit et j'étais obligé de bouger la cassette dans son logement pour régler le problème, parfois la cassette était tout simplement éjectée par l'autoradio, ou alors il ne comprenait rien et changeait de face. Avec cette cassette, aucun problème de ce genre. La cassette est bien pensée et fonctionne comme on l'imagine. Le micro intégré fonctionne parfaitement et est sensible, permettant ainsi de ne pas avoir le téléphone sous la bouche, mais à une distance raisonnable. J'utilise cette cassette avec un support Navigon pour iPhone, et l'ensemble est génial : tout le son sort des enceintes de la voiture.Dire qu'une solution existe en 2012 pour ceux qui ont encore des autoradios cassette, c'est vraiment incroyable, mais en plus ça marche superbement bien.Les deux seuls points négatifs (d'où l'étoile en moins), c'est que : 1. cette cassette a un problème que les autres n'avaient pas : il y a des interférences entre le téléphone et mon autoradio, et on entend les fameux "tut tuuuuut tuuut tut tut tut" dans les enceintes (ça ne le fait apparemment pas avec tous les autoradios, mais ça le fait bien avec le mien) ; 2. sur un vieil autoradio cassette (années 80), la cassette ne fonctionne pas et est éjectée.
