I was having problems lifting weights because I would have he feeling of electricity shooting down my wrist to forearms. I know its a spine issue and going to see a neurosurgeon but these helped me support my wrist where I don't have as much shoot pain and I was even able to go up on my weights. The only thing that irritates me is the little wrap around the thumb. Sometimes I take that off. But otherwise this has saved me.

This are super heavy duty. Maybe even too heavy duty. This might be great for someone who is an injury that prevents them from using their wrists at any level, but for the normal lifter, you only need slight support.

Ok, so I wasn’t sure if these wrist wraps were gonna help cuz my wrists always feel weak af during bench and presses. Like halfway through my sets, they’d start hurting and I’d just stop. But these actually surprised me—my wrists felt way more stable, and I could finally push through heavier sets. Idk how I lifted without these before. If you’re doubting it like I was, just try them out!

Unlike most other reviewers, I'm not a lifter or gymnast of any kind. Getting out of bed is about the most challenging physical exercise I undertake regularly. But a few weeks ago I suddenly developed wrist pain, pretty bad in one wrist and uncomfortable in the other, and both wrists have weakened with one being both weak and painful. Carpal tunnel maybe? Sounds likely. Anyway it has meant that I've had to get some basic wrist braces to wear during the day and they're OK, but not really good enough to support any lifting or manipulation involving the wrists. I took a chance that these Gripzilla wraps would be suitable without being too heavy, and I'm pleased to say that they've done the job well. Especially for the weaker wrist, which I've had to use today to do a job which would have been near impossible without this level of support.Yes, they're big and strong and heavy and for my purposes they look as if they're going to be overkill. They're very impressively thick and obviously made to be durable in extreme conditions and all I'm doing is moving a bit of furniture around. Plus I have small wrists anyway so these look huge and unwieldy. And to be honest, they feel that way when you first put them on. But I very quickly got used to them and after a while I didn't really notice I was wearing them. I was able to lift a bit of weight and carry a carpet around and I couldn't have done that at all, without these. Everyday medical wrist braces wouldn't have been supportive enough.Yes, they're expensive compared to some therapeutic wrist supports. You can pay less than fifteen bucks for something that looks more or less the same and if you don't need this level of support, that may be fine for you. And I'm wearing one of those cheap supports now, while I'm typing, because it doesn't put that much stress on my wrists. But if I have to lift anything heavy, or push something around, I'll reach for the Gripzillas because I know they won't let my wrists move around at all. I'm very happy with the amount of protection and support they offer me.

I've been actively strength training and powerlifting for the better part of 15 years.I lift very heavy, and often don't have a spotter available or capable of coming to the rescue if a mistake were to happen and I didn't have any safety rails in place.I've recently been struggling with carpal tunnel syndrome and have been implementing various wrist support measures into other lifts, not just the traditional bench where wrist wraps are commonly used. These provide exceptional stability for conventional push movements like bench and incline where you just want to have good linear form throughout your forearm and wrist, or you're lifting so heavy that you're concerned that a critical failure with wrist form could result in serious injury or worse. These are proving particularly helpful in alleviating some of the carpal tunnel stress with row and pull movements, particularly high bar and other vertical movements.Stitching is very strong.Material is elastic but very very resistant. You can get as tight a wrap or as loose a wrap as you want, and the tighter the wrap the stronger the wrist compression support will be.Most of the time on cheaper wraps the primary point of failure for me has been the thumb loop. Stitching on the thumb loop seems very strong and incorporates a stronger strip of material it's stitched into to make sure it's secure. Thumb loop is the same strong elastic material used for the main body of the wrist wrap.Elastic material is very breathable even when multiple layers are wrapped around, I don't find it uncomfortable or scratchy, nor do I find it unpleasantly hot under normal use.The hook and loop material is incredibly strong and very high quality, I tested 100lbs of weight on it and it didn't come undone and still felt solid as a rock.Excellent product, excellent materials.
