Bear-Crawl Mobile Bases

Grizzly's Bear Crawl Mobile Bases can easily support machines up to 1,200 lbs. Swivel and fixed casters provide an excellent range of motion, so it is simple to maneuver your machine around even the smallest shop without leaving marks on the floor. The easy-to-use toe flip-stops allow for quick movement and secure parking of your machine, and rubber-covered leveling feet drop and stabilize at the equipment when it is in the desired location.

Specialty Mobile Bases

Our Bear Crawl All-Swivel HD Mobile Base offers the same capacity as the other Bear Crawl models, with the versatility of four heavy-duty non-marring ball bearing swivel casters. And for the highest level of adaptability, we offer the Bear Crawl Build-Your-Own Mobile Base Kit that fits almost any sized machine base by attaching to your own cut-to-size plywood; it also comes properly equipped with the features that you expect from the Bear Crawl series of mobile bases.

Mobile Base Extension Kit

This helpful extension kit is designed for use with longer table saws and adds 18-44" of length to your Bear Crawl Mobile Bases. Adding this extension provides a stable support platform for a machine with an extension table, such as a table saw, helping to prevent damage or issues when these machines are moved.

Exactly as described. Perfect under my jointer. Moves easily but stays where you put it.

I would have thought a product from Grizzly would have been of higher quality, especially for the price of this unit. Actually the price of the unit itself is fine, it’s the shipping that’s kind of extraordinary. The Bear Crawl appears solid and sturdy at first glance, but the packaging is generic, allowing for dings and dents during delivery. Assembly was easy, but many of the screw holes were not tapped properly. The screws themselves appeared died correctly, but some of them only thread into the holes a few threats, then they need to be tightened with a driver/wrench. With some of them tapping properly, and other not, it begs questions about quality control from the manufacturer. Further, once the support bars are installed and screws are tightened down, a bunch of adjustment must be made so that the unit doesn’t wobble. The caster wheels are cheaply made, and the plastic on the wheels had overspray from the paint/powder coating. The welds in the corner brackets are take up at least a quarter inch in each side...looks like a beginner welder made them. Here’s the worst part: one of the foot pedals to raise and lower the stationary feet “slips” or feels really loose. The pedal raises and lowers almost too easily. Waiting for the day that 510 pounds of table saw comes crashing down on my foot. I gave this a 2 star review because it is usable, and the assembly was very easy. If I lose a toe, I’ll probably lower it to a 1 star.

I purchased a 15" Grizzly planer and wanted to make sure I could move it with ease. This base is perfect. Easy to assemble. Rolls great and the price is very fair.

I’ve tried a few other brands but this one is by far the best one. Very heavy duty and easy to flip up the brakes to move.

For my table saw. Check all of your hardware I had one of the coaster bolts that was not thread.

This is seems to be a consistant problem as others have reported the same issue. One of foot stops won’t hold to keep the base immobilized. Using a table saw that moves is just asking to lose a finger.

Bought this directly from Grizzly in Springfield MO. Foot pedals will not lock. Either of them. I’m taking it apart as we speak and taking it back Monday. Complete junk for $100.
