Very nice file for brass model making. This file has a double cut (two sets of teeth at angle to each other) so that if you press lightly it will cut lightly, and if you press harder it will cut deeper, because it uses the second (and deeper) set of teeth. One edge is flat (no teethI which is very good for times when you want to cut at the bottom of a notch but not the side.

Especially like that only one edge is blank.

I have several brands of files for goldsmithing/metalsmithing. I always reach for my Grobet first. The teeth give a smoother cut than my other files. Even my coarser cut 2 is just more satisfying to use and don't seem to get "stuck" as much, if that makes sense. So I recently decided to add to my collection this number 4 which is a nice finer cut.

This is a must have for guitar fret ends. Takes down the sharp edges without messing with the finish. Very well designed and manufactured tool!

Excellent fine file. I use it for filing guitar fret ends, and for hard wood. Leaves a smooth surface, file does not chatter or slip. Very well made.

This is a double-cut file and likely a smooth-cut/relatively fine (stamped with the number 4 on a scale of coarse #00, to fine #8). One of the file's edges is a “safe edge†with no teeth. The file is etched MADE IN ITALY, so I presume not Swiss made as the Amazon page says, and shows the Grobet USA Lion logo (see photos attached). As of Aug. 2023 I haven’t had a chance to use the file extensively yet, so I cannot vouch for the quality of the metal and the ability of the teeth to stay sharp. I will edit this post if this is not up to standard.
