Battle ropes are heavier and more difficult to use but are good. I would say these work much better for someone who is not muscle bound, or someone who is younger or older. These are very light weight and you control the tension with how far back you stand. Youtube has some great workouts with this, just follow the instructions for setting this up so it works the way it's suppose to. I am very happy with it and stoped using my battle rope, I would rather use this.

I was considering to buy a traditional battle rope. I had a doubt that this product would work like the traditional ones. It actually worked better and gave me more muscle tension. Strongly recommend this product to anyone who seeks for a battle rope alternate.

More instructions would be helpful but there are plenty of videos. Takes time to tolerate the movements- because it is exhausting but good workout.

A friend at Crunch gym told me about the Inertia Wave and I decided to try it out. It is an excellent training aid for core strength and much better than battle ropes at a reasonable price. I'm 71 and I incorporate it with my other ab training exercises.

I got my Inertia Wave Workout ropes today - unfortunately they arrived broken right out of the box. There was a big tear on one of the rubber handles (see picture).I gave them a chance anyways and tried a couple a basic workouts (as performed in the Inertia Wave workout videos). I must say the workouts just don't give me enough challenge (I'm an average fitness type - not a super ripped athlete). Maybe the ropes are good for a minor core workout.I don't want to trash these ropes - I think they are a good workout tool for some people, but at this price point ($125) I miss quality and usability. Also the poor quality control and packaging (plastic bag with a cheap receipt size warning and anchor instruction print out) is just not what I expect for $125. I'm afraid the rubber will rip on the anchor points too (same as handle). The tubes material itself seems solid. For half the price I would give it another chance but for $125 it is just no value for me.
