Ive heard nothing but good things about this bridge, so heres hoping. Not sure how it could be bad. Unless it shatters or bends too quickly id say just try. Good sound so far as far as im concerned.

I have a C-Scale instrument upon which I butcher melodic clawhammer tunes. Before I put this on, I sounded considerably worse than I do now. It greatly improved intonation and sounds a whole lot better than the very cheap bridge that came on the banjo. If your instrument goes out of tune when fretted, this is worth a shot.

I got this just to mess around with, and it is great for fixing the intonation; however, it is much heavier than traditional banjo bridges and completely changed the tone of my banjo. It makes the instrument sound much darker, and to me, less like a traditional banjo sound. I ended up going back to my old lighter bridge; it's not perfect for the intonation, but it has a much brighter tone. For the price, this isn't bad to try out, Grover just needs to make more versions of this bridge in different weights and it needs to list those weights in the description so you can make a more informed decision.

I put this on my five string Washburn model B5 banjo and took care of intonation problems I was experiencing with a regular Straight bridge. It’s very easy to install, and makes tuning a snap

There's a new banjo player this is a godsend I would try to playD-B-0G-2D-G-And anything with that variation would be like nails on a chalkboard, it's been hell trying to learn and never being able to come close to matching tone.If you experience the same problems don't hesitate buy this you won't regret it.

I ordered the 5/8" Grover-branded bridge. What I received is a 3/4" unbranded bridge. It is not what I paid for and not useful for my banjo. Other than that, is does appear to be acceptable in manufacture.

I play old time frailing banjo. When learning to play more up the neck, strings never seemed to be quite in tune because of string gauge and tension variations. This bridge helped.

Great bridge if your replacing the bridge. It brings your banjo into better tune up the neck.

Arrived before the expected delivery date and very happy with the sound of this compensated bridge over the standard straight bridge. I had an issue with my 3rd string especially at the 3rd fret but this bridge fixed that issue.

I have a Gold Star GF-300FE and now the intonation is dead on. Of course when you change the bridge there's always a chance that it will affect the tone of the banjo. In this case it made it brighter (more highs.) I was somewhat surprised by the change but decided to live with it and let things settle. Now I'm loving the brighter tone and wouldn't change it. It's a quality bridge and certainly worth a try.

I mainly play guitar and bass, but I also have a banjo. It's a student model and the tuning is a bit wonky.This bridge helped a lot.I'm grateful.

the second and third strings are much more accurate when fretting down the neck.
