I have been making biscornu pincushions for the first time ever and I was looking for some organic stuffing. I wanted a heavier and eco-friendly alternative to polyester fiberfill. This is my first time ever using cotton stuffing but it worked out great. There are quite a bit of leaf pieces, twigs and seeds, so you do have to get some of those out if you are really particular, but its not that bad. I stuffed my biscornu with small pieces of the cotton that I fluffed up by stretching and pulling on them. I do recommend to take out the batting over some kind of surface that you can clean easily because there will be small pieces of leaves and twigs that fall to the ground as you work with it.The cotton has a slight earthy smell and when pulled apart, looks like cotton candy. It has the perfect weight and I love how natural it feels. Supporting american agriculture is always a positive, too! My biscornus have turned out lovely and will make perfect gifts.

Used this to make my own pillows so I can be sure I'm sleeping on healthy, quality materials. Holy cow, what a dream!! Learn from me and wear a mask when tearing and fluffing the fibers for whatever your purpose is. I split between two king sized pillows and it made VERY firm, oddly comfortable pillows that need to be punched nightly before bed for at least the first couple of weeks. I suppose you could do a more thorough initial breakdown of the fiber or use less than I did, but I am very satisfied with my handmade, monster pillows.

I’m using this as a safe alternative in a pillow for a child’s room and found it easy to use and of a really nice quality. There’s enough in the bag for probably 2 more 16†pillows. I’ve already washed the stuffed pillow form and it came out of the dryer in great shape!

I am astounded! 10/10 its pure beautiful fluffy cotton! No it does not smell, if anything it has this clean earthy kind of smell but its not profound or overwhelming its only if you were to grab a bit and put it up to your nose! I will definitely be buying more if my projects permits! So very happy with this!! I bought the 5lb bag

Extremely good price compared to other options, but could really stand to be a bit better cleaned of large twigs and plant pieces. What you save in money will cost in time trying to pick out the largest plant debris pieces.

Yes, this is what real cotton looks like people. It's fluffy, soft, yet compact. As stated, there are a few particulates of the harvest, but they are miniscule and look like small flecks in the cotton. This is exactly what I needed for pillows and adding to my dog's bed. Will definitely order from this company again!!

Good quality, but very expensive, the shipping fees are high. Item arrived on time. I recommend it.

I am new to the whole cotton batting thing, thought when I ordered 5 lbs, that that was the actual weight of the cotton. Apparently it means something else. 5lbs only weighs 470grams

Beware Canadian customers. On top of the terrible US exchange rate, I received a bill in the mail a month after delivery stating that I owe $41.32 CDN for Advancement Fee (?), HST/Ancillary Fee (?), Clearance Entry Fee, and CDN HST. Worst part is, I ordered more last week so will most likely get ANOTHER bill like this. Livid!!!
