This is a big heavy grinding stone. I have purchased this to sharpen my kitchen knives using a simple power drill. It does the job perfectly.

Good stones, well as good as any other good stone. But not for the price. I get them for $10 where I live and there just as good

It takes use for the grinding wheel to smooth out - it is also not entirely balanced so there is some wobble and vibration. with patience, the wheel flattens out and then works very well. for the price, it works really well.

When I opened the box this piece came in it had a visible mid band horizontal marking in the product material but I thought that since was not a deep band it would be able to work out, however, when I tried it for under 5 seconds two times for verification purposes it had an extreme amount of chatter so out of round or material not homogeneous? No matter the cause it's a second rate that was faulty and not something you would want to use on a vertical indention on marble rough profiling. Unfortunately due to the current pandemic and a family issue that lasted for over two weeks I missed the return window by 3 days. I ordered 3 different grinding wheels of various grit and only one was useable. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere do not buy!
