I've used Brunswick Centennial racks my entire life in pool halls and private residences and I'm fairly certain this is the exact same thing without the branding. They are HEAVY wood pieces finished perfectly, about as heavy as a rack can be without getting silly. As any pool player will tell you, the rack itself is not supposed to be tight, as this is a huge rack. The rack is supposed to enable the player to form a tight rack. In this case, that means leaving room behind the rear balls for your hands. Complaints about this rack not being "tight enough" are written by folks unfamiliar with the game. These are world-class racks. For the price, they're a no-brainer.

Massive gap of about 3/4" between ball set and the rack,

These are medium quality racks, but they get the job done. They’re fine for me.

This design seems to work better than the thinner racks. Great communication, thx for the replacement.

I bought to replace the crappy one my table came with...I'm very happy with it overall from its solid construction to the gray color that matches the esthetic of my table. Reccomend.
