Tried to use this to connect a handicapped telecom link amplifier to a new Visio 40†TV. Could not get it to work. TV no longer has speaker output jacks other than a headphone jack which silences the regular speakers. It’s a step back for the hearing impaired, but this adapter just didn’t do the job. Still trying to find a solution. TV manufacturer was not very helpful either.

Initially, I got this for potentially streaming from my 3DS. My gut told me no, there's no way that would work, but I was told by a more tech-savvy person that this is what I needed. Well, turns out they lied, not the product's fault. But I did find another use with my capture card. Audio comes out crisp and I love that I don't have to wear a second pair of earbuds to hear my game audio through my computer now. The only thing I don't like is how the output cable is oriented. I had to completely rearrange my setup just to get it to fit. Having it on the side is a terrible design idea.
