or in my case I wanted to try and make a Gonster. It worked fine and now I need to get some hard cider and do a half and half of that.

It's a Guinness black & tan spoon, there's not much else to it. If you want to pour a successful Black & Tan or any other mixed beer variation, you need a spoon like this to achieve a reasonable success rate. The old tablespoon from the utensil drawer doesn't work very often as an improvised method (not for me at any rate). I have used this standard Guinness spoon and the BruTool (a pretty cool looking turtle contraption) and they both work pretty well. For under $10, you might as well buy them both. They make for great conversation as you solve the world's problems with your friends and put back a few cold ones, perfecting your pour along the way. I've found that these beer pouring tools are great gifts to your beer-drinking buddies. If you have friends like me, the gift will get used and once again, for a few bucks, you can't go wrong.Happy pouring!

I've had trouble layering the guiness for my Black and Tans. I'm still not perfect, but this spoon has really helped!

We went to theGenniss Stonehouse in Ireland 🇮🇪 . They use this spoon for various drinks you can make and shot drinks too . I left there and realized I had not picked one up at The store there . Thank you Amazon for coming through with a true must have treasure & it covered me as a gift for my husband . . I was holding it for a stocking stuffer for him at Christmas but… who can wait . We have three other holiday before then ( I’m counting Halloween) bring it on . Cheers ðŸ»

I poured a perfect Half & Half on the first try!! I used Yuengling Lager and, of course, Guinness. (See pic) I've read other reviews that said that it would immediately mix together, some that said to let the Guinness warm up a bit before pouring. I haven't found this to be the case at all! After reading the other reviews I decided to try it with a room temperature Guinness for my first attempt and it worked perfectly. Then I decided to try it with a cold Guinness, and again it worked perfectly!! So far I've only used Yuengling Lager, so I can't say for sure if it would work as well with another brand.I'm very satisfied with this purchase!Ok, enough review writing, time for a Half & Half!! Cheers!!

The directions are clear and easy to follow, and with just a small amount of practice this allows you to make a beautiful layered beverage - just don't pour the Guinness in too quickly, or you'll ruin the effect. Sláinte mhaith!

I’ve used this to make the beverage Black & Tan in my father’s pub shed/man cave Scarlets Bar and I’m pleased to say that it helps make the perfect black & tan.
