It’s small but gets the job done. Purple being one of my favorite colors doesn’t hurt either. It’s used for the heat shrink tubes, solder tubes, working vinyl on car emblems and melting adhesives. Two heat settings are a plus

I got this with some shrink tubing that would be best used on micro-electronics, but also some solder connectors that are going to work great. For the price it's a steal and ideally it'll function for my occasional DIY needs for a long time.

Gyfent Heat Gun with 100Pcs Solder Seal Wire Connectors & 200Pcs Heat Shrink Tubing, 662°F/752°F(350°C/400°C) 350W 2-Temp Mini Heat Gun with 5Ft Power Cord for Crafting Shrink Tubing Embossing DIYThe Gyfent Heat Gun, for the price (under $20), it's surprisingly impressive. The dual temperature settings (650 and 750) limit this tool a bit. The lower setting works great for heat shrink tubing on electronics projects, while the higher setting handles tougher jobs like vinyl work or even fixing cracked screens. It heats up quickly and the 5ft cable gives you decent reach for most projects. What I really like is how compact and lightweight it is - perfect for working in tight spaces and much more manageable than those bulky full-size heat guns. The plastic body stays cool during use, after all, who would use one that didn't? It's also surprisingly quiet, especially on the low setting.A couple of minor issues worth mentioning: The stand could definitely be an inch or two taller - it sits a bit low when you're trying to use it hands-free. Also, the reflector nozzle has a tendency to come loose, especially after it heats up and expands. A twist-lock attachment would have been better design. Having an analog variable heat control, instead of just the two settings, would have made this a 5 star item.I've used it with two of the solder-shrink tubes to change the terminals wires on an old UPS. It worked just fine.Just remember this is meant for lighter tasks - it's not a heavy-duty industrial tool. And yes, they actually had to put a warning in the manual not to use it as a hair dryer!Despite the minor flaws with the stand and nozzle attachment, the price point and performance make this a solid buy for any DIY enthusiast or hobbyist.

I got the heat gun and solder wire splices to attach new taillights to a trailer. This setup worked like a charm. I'm confident the wires are well spliced and watertight. This was my first use of a tool like this and it went very well and quickly. It's a good size to fit in my tool chest.
