It makes great rice. It is easy to use. Large or small batches come out good. It will keep warm for a reasonable time with no or very minor scorching. Always a rating champion because they make small refinements without adding a dozen new cooking tasks. It will not knead bread dough, it makes great rice.

I've owned this cooker for two months now, and have used it for rice, quinoa and a variety of rice mixes. Every dish has been successful. Easy to clean, consistent results.

I’ve never been able to make brown rice to my satisfaction until now. This inexpensive rice cooker did the job. Do follow the directions and be sure to rinse the brown rice thoroughly before cooking to get all the chaf out. It also made really good white rice and oatmeal. On the oatmeal I used the delay feature and had perfect oatmeal waiting for breakfast. I used milk in place of water for the oatmeal and it turned out perfect.

If you follow the directions in the users manual meticulously, you’ll get undercooked rice on top and a thick layer of gummed-together rice at the bottom. We’ve tried adjusting ratios incrementally but no combination of water and rice produces even minimally satisfactory results. The cooker takes up a lot of room and is difficult to clean adequately. There is nothing good or even okay about this rice maker.

I cook and bake extensively, all of our meals are eaten at home with food I prepare. This includes not only human meals for my husband Jim and me, but also home cooked meals for dogs Sid and Lexi.I've had 2 Multi Cookers that have been work horses in my kitchen. Some days I have both of them going at the same time! Well, my oldest cooker sadly bit the dust. After doing some research, I decided on this Hamilton Beach unit as a replacement.My-oh-My, this is an absolute must have Multi Cooker for the home kitchen! So versatile, handy, and easy to use. Durable construction and an informative user manual. The number of features on the Multi Cooker blew me away. Everything I've prepared in this has turned out fabulous, including brown rice and other whole grains that can be difficult to prepare. I've attached a photo showing brown rice prepared using the whole grain setting.Easy to clean up and then store in my lazy Susan. A great value, too.I highly recommend this product.

Have tried a few and for price is Best Buy cooks rice perfect no burning on bottom like cheaper one's ,just as good as some more expensive ones

Pros: Simple to use, construction is good. Easy to clean. Rice is well cooked. Price was very good. Silent.Cons: The vapor/water outside holder is not staying after some months of use (see picture). Some times it says “6 minutes†to finish but it stays for 10 or more without changing “6minâ€.This was known before buying, but parts aren’t dishwasher safe.

I absolutely love this. I never thought I would ever buy one because I thought it would just sit in the cupboard but it's so handy. Cooks rice perfectly and keeps it warm. Definitely happy with this purchase.
