I keep this in my tacklebox in a little container. Never know when I might go musky fishing or offshore fishing for the fish that fight really good.! so easy to use and it works very well. It comes with all different types of sizes depending on what type of line you’re using you have the metal sleeve to go over it and then you just use the plier style tool to crimp it. I have caught some big fish with this set up as my leader.!

Sleeves tear and don’t hold. I’ve put 2 sleeves on a single hook and pulled it straight through with my bare hands. Sometimes they slip other times the sleeve actually tears in half. Tool is decent but sleeves are terrible.

The tool is solid and comfortable to hold, but the crimping head needs refinement. As others said, it covers the width of the crimp, which isn’t ideal, but my problem is less that (my lines don’t move, I use them to hang art), it’s that the crimps get jammed in the tool. Like, really jammed. I thought the first one machine-welded in it was so tough to remove. I bought this because it was compact, but if I need three hands and a couple more pliers to extract the finished crimp, that value proposition goes out the window, along with my pair of these crimpers.
