I've owned multiple abacuses, but they were all large and fairly heavy. I wanted one that was small, lightweight and more portable, while still being sturdy enough to handle a toddler using it part-time as a toy. This fits the bill. It's held up to fairly heavy use for months, and it's still in great condition. I like that this can be used standing up or laying down, because the plastic feet are removable. The one downside? It does fall over rather easily. But we just use it laying down if a younger kid is using it.Great little tool for teaching and practicing math without having hundreds of little math manipulatives all over.

This is a staple for teaching my math small groups. The size is not too small or too large (can handle easily) The quality is amazing and the product is sturdy. It stands well on its own. I have found it extremely useful for teaching all my elementary aged students. From teaching multiplicative strategies like arrays to addition and subtraction within 10 (or even structuring). I wish I had gotten this sooner.

Did exactly what it was supposed to! Helped my children learn math in a different form. Seems to be good quality and it functions well for our needs. Seems to be durable enough to be around when my last kid needs it. Good quality for the money!

My son is a visual learner and has ADHD, so seeing the beads help him him visually see the quantity he needs to add or subtract. The product is sturdy and well made.

Its a little cute compact manipulative. It worked well for a bit of a lazy boy that is struggling with addition. It's easy and fast for him to move the beads. If I wanted to use it to explain concepts, or to have three groups within 10, it's too small. There isnt space to show clear definitive breaks for explanation or more than two groups. However, it works perfectly well for a young child to quickly count and seperate parts of a whole.

This is a smaller sized abacus and stands on a shelf for easy access. It looks like a piece of art. We love that it has 10 rows. My 13yo son uses it for his math program.

Great visual during math. Seems sturdy. Was looking for the 100 bead in a not so obnoxiously huge frame. This fits the bill.

The size is perfect as an on table or take-to-the car adjunct to discussing numbers up to 100. I like that 5 are red and 5 are white on each row so the kids can quickly visualise the number. The beads slide easily, a bit too easily sometimes when we're in the car, but the kids manage. My 5 and 6 year old use it when we discuss numbers at home and in the car.
