This device comes assembled and ready to use. It is very sturdy and appears well-constructed. It doesn't reduce the rod space of 5 shirts to the space of 1 shirt, but it pretty much reduces it to the space of 2. The padding keeps the items from moving around once placed. It is a little tricky to get the item placed correctly, but it's worth the time for the space saving. It also helps to keep clothes organized; I keep all the white shirts on one device and all the dark shirts on another. Good purchase!

Small closet and to save space the hangers allow me to hang my top and keep the colors together and separate (like white tops on a hanger black on a hanger long sleeves on a hanger) I don't have to fold them now and can see them better the hangers are strong easy to use great value cost less than what I paid at bed bath and beyond 😀

It's a space saver, but the hangers jiggle too much. I was expecting more of a still positioned hanger. In general, it's just a little annoying when hanging your clothes.

The functionality of these space savers is genius. I have tried the hangers that collapse and expand on the rack but they fail to perform and you also need room to expand them on the rack which really does not make sense since you bought the hangers because space is what you do not have. This hanger lifts off the rack, then you tilt to expand to remove your item, then you put it back on the rack. So it truly is a space saver. Genius. I have multiple of them in my closet.

This shirt hanger is in our utility room and is perfect for hanging shirts right out of the dryer. It flattens compactly against the wall when not in use. I highly recommend this product!

It's a nice idea! I have a lot of dress shirts and currently not a lot of space in my closet. I got this in the hopes of a solution to the matter. I originally used very thin wire hangers for my shirts to cut down on the space that they take up. I got 2 of these hangers which would accommodate ten of my dress shirts. It may accomplish the job moreso if I get 3 more of these hangers. However, with just the 2 I have 10 shirts on these and still another 11 shirts on individual wire hangers. In that scenario there isn't a noticeable amount of space saved. Also, with my OCD-ish traits, having these 2 hangers mixed in with shirts on individual wire hangers, it's not a good look in the closet. And lastly, it is difficult to get the shirts on to these hangers because of the foam padding at the ends. You have to work at getting them on so that they are sitting nicely on them. Still contemplating getting 3 more of these to complete the look, and if i do I will update this review. Otherwise, it is currently just a 3 star because I don't feel it lives up to its space saving claim as much as I'd hoped and the difficulty of getting the shirts on them.

I have a number of these I purchased from Bed, Bath & Beyond 15 years ago. I needed a couple more so checked Amazon. When I saw these I ordered two even after reading the negative reviews knowing I could return them. Frankly, I don't understand the negative comments about "difficult to use" or "hard to hang up clothes" unless these are people who use wire hangers and are used to sliding/slipping their shirts/dresses on and off the hanger. One of the main points of this type of hanger, besides saving closet space, is that the "rubber" on the hanger part is to keep your clothes from sliding/falling off! These do exactly that! There's nothing difficult about it. Great product which does exactly what it says!

Had to wait 8 days for product to arrive, the estimated shipping time does not correspond with the original ship date. Charges were not put through my account until 7 days after placing the order which totally screwed me for budgeting. Product is just standard, nothing special about it at all. I will not be ordering anything through this company again.
