I recently purchased a 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LZT z71. I immediately began making it “my†truck. Part of the transformation was the installation of this particular steering wheel cover. It was exactly what I wanted.I had a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and had always employed a leather steering wheel cover. It just gives the wheel a better “feel†so far as I am concerned. The steering wheel on my 2016 Silverado was leather and in fine shape, but I was used to that feel of the leather cover and wanted to duplicate that feeling in the new truck.Good luck. I went back in my history to the place where I had purchased my last leather steering wheel cover (2019) to no avail. No longer in business. I was very particular. I wanted a solid black leather cover. No vinyl inserts. No little bitty holes. Just smooth black leather (with one seam, if possible). I looked through the internet for quite a while, and finally found this cover. It was exactly what I wanted. Smooth leather, only one seam. Decent price.Now, installation was something else, but ordinary. The leather cover fits the wheel very, very snugly. Tighter than a glove. You have to stretch the cover over the steering wheel, which takes a lot of strength and effort. Installation with an assistant may help. I had to tape the bottom of the cover to the wheel (4:00 and 8:00) so it would not move or fall off, and then I had to use all of my strength to force the rest of the cover over the “top†of the steering wheel. It was an effort, but as before, the cover fits tighter than a glove. Without movement. One note, put the one seam at the bottom of the wheel, so that it doesn’t show up at 7:00, or 2:30 and be in the way for your hands. Once the cover is installed, it is very, very difficult to move one way or the other. This is the one to buy.

This cover really is quality genuine leather and not the cheap substitutes used by other suppliers. Bought this to cover cuts in the original leather of my 2013 Charger R/T. The fit is extremely tight and installation will test the strength of your hands. Mine took about 35 minutes to install and I am 84 (with strong hands). Well worth the expense and effort. Instructions could have been clearer.

This sits firmly on the steering wheel. I'm only a couple of months in, but I like the feel of the cover. It is nice and sturdy. I'm still not sure if it's leather, and if it is, you can tell that it's a super thin piece stretched over a form. That said, it lasted through some warm days pretty well, we'll see how it handles the winter. It is thick, so if you have small hands, be prepared for that.

My rubber Honda Accord steering wheel started to disintegrate after 13 years. Ordered the leather wrap because I wanted something better than vinyl or polyester. The all leather wrap, as others have noted, takes some work to get it on, but is high quality and feels great. My original Accord steering wheel is pretty thick already, so when you add the leather wrap it’s really thick. The new leather wrap doesn’t completely cover the original, I’d say it covers about 75%, but it looks good—far better than what it was. At first I wasn’t sure I’d like it, but I’ve gotten use to it and I’m really happy with the purchase.

Purchased for my vehicle... there didn't seem to be any skimping on quality...I did find a few strings that I chose to burn off, but, it would have been fine either way as most of the extra string was inside of the cover.Heavier than I expected, but, it doesn't matter to me if its' .5 pounds or 5 pounds.... the heaviness contributed to my perception of quality craftsmanship.On a 15-inch steering wheel the fit was perfect. I'm not sure how they pulled off the raised portion of the cover, but, it seems like a perfect balance of luxury and functionality. In other words, in addition to the feel of leather, it also had a healthy 'gripability.'Last, it matched my interior perfectly.

I bought and returned three covers before I was fortunate enough to find this one. The others were either too soft (which felt like grabbing a pillow), or too slick and slippery. This one has the right feel. It's real leather, which there is no substitute for, and the profile is perfect. It feels so good when you come out of a turn and let the wheel slide back through your hand. The little ridges are just right to quickly grab the steering wheel anywhere, anytime with a positive grip. Perfect cover.

This steering wheel cover is real leather. I only wish the entire cover was textured. Well made however longevity is yet to be determined.
