I wanted a really bright hi-vis life jacket so I could be easily spotted while on the lake, bonus if everyone could wear it and it didn’t cost as much as my kayak. This vest checks all the boxes! It fits everyone in our family, 5’0†80#, 5’11†200#, 6’0†150#, and 6’5 220#, although it’s truly a bit big on the little kid. The other three of us could wear it no problem. Tightening straps is easy. I pinched my fingers in the buckles a few times until I got them broken in.I like that there is no material on the sides, just straps. It helps prevent bulk and overheating, my arms don’t rub while paddling, it doesn’t feel constricting around my chest/neck. It is comfortable wearing SUPing or kayaking. Larger bellied people might be uncomfortable but I imagine that to be true with any life jacket. I wish it was a little longer, I’m tall and it hits just above my waist and feels dorky. I forget I’m wearing it quickly, tough.Does it work? Boy howdy does it ever! Within 20 seconds of my first standing SUP attempt I found myself flying backwards into the lake. I got a lungful of lake water and couldn’t breathe for coughing for nearly a minute. If I didn’t have my jacket on I’m not sure I would’ve made it to shore or my SUP. I don’t care how strong a swimmer you are, one little thing going wrong could have dire consequences. Wearing a dorky life vest is a small price to pay for your life. Get one, and wear it!

I am 5’7â€, 155# and got the adult universal and it fits perfectly. Super easy to adjust and is pretty comfortable on, although it does ride up a little bit in the water. I got this for my paddleboard to avoid getting a ticket, so I’m not super concerned. If I were getting it to wear a lot for water sports I would maybe get a higher quality. But for what I needed it for it is a super great quality for the price.

I recently purchased 7 different life vests/pfd’s for my family of 4 for the purpose of paddle boarding. They ranged in price from $30-$120. Surprisingly, this $30 “Adult Universal†size life vest was the perfect fit for my 12-year-old average size son - 105 lbs, 32†diameter chest, 4’10†tall. The clips are easy for him to manage, the vest isn’t overly bulky, it’s cinches down appropriately, and it will fit him for a number of years. There is good arm clearance for him while paddling so that the vest and straps don’t rub on his arms. I’ll also add that my son is a sensory sensitive kid and most new things feel uncomfortable on his body but for whatever reason, he’s very happy with this one. I just purchased another one to have as a back up when we bring a friend along because it’s the kind of basic vest that can be easily adjusted to fit anyone. I think it’s a fantastic value!

PDF is true to size so trust the measurements. I'm a pretty big guy 6'1" and 235#'s (that's pounds not hashtag lol) my wife is itty bitty 4'11" and 95#'s. Very comfortable for kayaking no rubbing, nor chaffing. I can't speak to wear and tear due to having only used for about 10 hours of paddling. It appears to be made very well regarding stitching and fabric. Very comfortable for kayaking no rubbing, nor chaffing.
