I installed a brass door pull that worked fine, but--according to my eye--needed more visual weight. Since the profile at the ends of the pull is square, I went looking for square brass washers to serve as escutcheons. I was surprised and pleased to find that such a product actually exists. I ordered and installed these washers and they are exactly what I was looking for. The quality is excellent. The finish is handsome--not bright brass, but a subdued, somewhat antique, lightly etched look that I find favorable.A tip. The washers came with a thin, dark coating that might be preservative grease or manufacturing residue or both. It should be wiped off prior to use. I used Renaissance Wax to clean the washers. It worked perfectly and further enhanced the finish.

Very high quality item, as is the case with anything I’ve ordered from CBH. Heavy, perfect darkened patina, and excellent finish are a few of the outstanding qualities of their products. I had to clean them like another reviewer stated but they did the job. I needed them to cover a hole that I drilled off Center and they not only worked but hid my drilling mistake.

These are the perfect decorative washers for my sliding barn door. I needed 60 of them to attach the boards to the straps. I looked through many possibilities on the internet. My persistence paid off! I am very pleased.
