The thumb screw feels really nice and fits just above the slim profiles of the iron. It allows you to easily swap tips... when we remember to let them cool down! The two pictures attached show the original factory screw compared to the M2-4mm thumb screw, as well as the height it sits when a soldering tip is installed. Really like the knurled texture of the thumb screws! In the end it's a great mod for a open source project like the Pin64.

Was looking for a knurled thumb screw to facilitate the easier removal of accessory cover for IP-67 rated BF radios. Note - not a flush fit, the thumb screw will protrude 4 to 5 mm, so may not work for you if yuo have a Radio pouch with very specific tolerances.Overall a good fit for me.
