1. Made of quality 6061 aluminum alloy, and surface is anodization, sturdy and durable, shows good shiny, long service life. Provides good stability, high work performance and durability.
2. The set screw type shaft collar has improved holding power when the shaft material is softer than the setscrew material which supports low axial loads and simple positioning. Comes with a socket cup-point setscrew for securing the collar onto the shaft.
3. The set screw ring is a ring-shaped device. They can also be used as spacers between positioners, mechanical stops and other components.
4. Simply slide these collars onto a shaft and tighten the set screw to hold the collar in place. Collars are easy to adjust with their set screws. Effective on hard and soft shafts.

I am using two of these as travel stop collars on the shaft of my guided knife sharpening system. They limit the back and forth travel so I don't accidentally cause the sharpening stone to slide off the knife edge. I also added four small rubber O-ring in front of each stop collar so the travel stop is more cushioned. I chose this design over the other stop collar design that uses set screws that tighten down on the shaft. That set screw would leave an unwanted burr on the guide shaft. These stop collars clamp their whole body onto the guide shaft leaving no marks.

Used these to pull a drive shaft stuck in the powerhead of an old outboard.they tightened up well & are aluminum so no damage or scratches on the shaft
