The fact that this tool is manufactured to high standards and you don't have to purchase an entire balancer tool kit is sensible

Have a rebuilt 1968 327 and need to install the new Harmonic Balancer. Looks to have everything we need including glove with rubber grip. Haven’t taken out of bags yet as they look to be greased or oiled to prevent rust. Should be using soon. Will update if tool falls short, but looks like it should work perfectly.

'66 Chevy C10 stepside327 V8 SBC (small block Chevy)I decided to add power steering to my old Chevy. The SBC 327 V8 engine came with a large harmonic balancer which interfered with the pulley on the power steering pump. I had to do some research and find a smaller harmonic balancer and timing tab to install on my engine. This tool is an installer only. It does not remove the balancer. It does a good job of pressing the harmonic balancer back on the crankshaft. Remember to put oil or antiseize grease on the threads of the installer. Using power tools with this (or any) install tool will drastically reduce the tool's lifespan. A good 'ol 1/2dr ratchet worked fine for me.This works as good as the SnapOn or Lisle tool for less money. It is built sturdy enough that it will last me for decades because I oil the threads and use only hand tools.

This is a nice tool for pulling the damper or installing. Appears to be a very well made tool. I have not had the opportunity to actually use it, but I believe it will come in very handy when I do. I am actually looking forward to use it this coming winter when doing some engine work.

Good quality - well made …I build and work on a lot of cars, street rods and racecars. Engine building, Bodywork, Welding, Wiring, plumbing and fabrication is a large part of what I do.This is the second balancer installation tool in my shop. The first was made by MAC and was great until the thrust bearing took a dive. Hopefully this one will last longer. The threads and machine work are as good or better than the tool I paid over $100 for about 10 years ago. Durability is a function of use over time.I keep up with my reviews and will revisit this one should the need arise.I give this balancer installation tool my Big-Foot “Stomp†of approval and 5 stars!
