For what it is - a plastic base, PC fan, fan control and timer module, and 2 plastic hat molds all weighing less than a pound combined, the price is crazy. Probably costs less than $5 to make overseas, not usually something I complain about, but this is incredibly basic and unfinished feeling. I even got it on Prime day, and was shocked to see the regular price was even higher when I came back to leave this review.However, despite the high price for what you get, it absolutely does work as described so I guess you’re paying for the privilege of not needing to replace your favorite hat.Unless you have 4-5 hats you need to fix, or want to use it regularly, just replace your damaged hat instead of buying this and keep the extra 30-40 bucks in your pocket.Hopefully a more “fit and finished†and cost effective version is released soon.

I finally found a solution to bring life back to many of my favorite hats that I thought I had lost due to too much wear and not enough care. It was simple, I washed the hat then put it on the hat care machine. I've got a bigger head so I adjusted it as such. Within a few hours I had my old hat back. It's a must if you have hats that, like mine, have been neglected.

I'm not typically a big hat guy (I only have about 15), but I do have some favorites that I really like. Unfortunately, some of them have become so smashed and wrinkled over time that I don't enjoy wearing them anymore. Some of these hats were expensive, and others hold sentimental value, so the idea of restoring them to their original shape was really appealing to me.I decided to try out a product aptly named the "Hat Shaper." I ordered it on Amazon and was impressed with the lightning-fast delivery—it arrived at 4:30 am the next morning! The product was well-packed and felt sturdy and well-built. The only minor issue I encountered was that one of the stick-on rubber legs had come off during shipping, but I easily fixed it by reattaching it to the bottom.While the product doesn’t clean your hat, it does advertise the ability to restore its shape. Eager to see if it would work, I pulled out a pile of my most ragged and misshapen hats from the closet. I started with the most beat-up hat in my collection to really put the Hat Shaper to the test. I sprayed the hat with some starch, placed it on the device, and adjusted the size to make sure it was nice and snug. I set the control panel to the lowest speed for 30 minutes, and after that time the hat was still a bit damp, then I cranked up the fan to the highest speed and let it run for another 30 minutes.To my pleasant surprise, my hat’s shape looked almost as good as new by the end! I put it on, and even my wife commented that I could probably start wearing it again. The Hat Shaper worked exactly as advertised, and I’m happy with the results. If you have hats that you’d like to bring back to life quickly and easily, I highly recommend this product. Five stars!

This is great for the hat enthusiasts that have their favorites they can’t part with after years of use and abuse. It has made a few of those particular hats look presentable again. And that’s what we were hoping for. The combination of spray that this set came with and the machine got the job done. I think the spray is absolutely necessary to the overall outcome and I appreciate the convenience of it being included. It only gave three stars due to the cost and inconvenience of having something that big that you only use every so often. First of all, I have a stand hair dryer, rather than pay $90 (USD) I’d just buy the bottle of spray, find a bowl in the correct size, turn the bowl over, put the hat on it, spray it and stick under the dryer. I understand the cost may be necessary for the manufacturer to see any profit, but I have a huge clothing wrack that includes warm air blowing on clothes to help them dry, and it is still foldable and just doesn’t take up that much room when stored. I mean, this isn’t huge - like the size of a large shop vac, but it about the size of a toaster oven - but those are probably used a lot more often. But if money and storage aren’t an option and you’re looking for someone that already has everything - this might be something to consider.

I don't review items often - but this one was worth it. I have some old hats that I didn't want to wear anymore because they were all bent out of shape and gross. This hat shaper was easy to setup, had clear instructions, and really helped put some life back into my old hat. It's also nice that it's adjustable to fit my hats that are various sizes. This item is great and unique from anything else I've found! Would recommend.

Been looking for something like this for a while. It won't clean your hat, however it will bring your cleaned hat back to shape. Being adjustable is an important feature as all hats are not the same size. I have been using it constantly since it arrived and even better, it's made in the USA! Two thumbs up!!
